Promise [a RUBYMELT fanfic]

A/N: Hey! So I was rereading the Tokyo Blade arc and when I got to chapter 53 I noticed that melt and ruby have actually interacted before and I was like "oh they would kinda look cute together!" So I ended up shipping them as one of my rare pairs for fun. I wanted to find stuff about them but never found anything so I decided to make this! I'm not good at writing fanfics so it won't be the best but I'll try ! None of this is canon btw. Also quick note on ruby's 'feelings' for gorou in this story! Manga spoilers ahead !!

Once Ruby found his corpse, she realized that the way she felt was the same as what she felt when her mom died. A.k.a the feeling of loosing a parent. She  thought she was in love with him when really she just saw him as a father figure since her parents abandoned her in the hospital in her past life before she died. Also keep in mind the fact that she was 12 when she died so she never grew old enough to figure out how she actually felt and those feelings stuck with her.

Another reason the rubymelt ship stuck with me is because at the end of the chapter (I think it was the same chapter) she told kana and mem that one of aqua's friends gave her his number/line and I think that was melt since he was the only guy she spoke to in that chapter . So I headcanon that they became good friends after that. Anyways I hope that if you read this, you find it enjoyable. Idk how often I'll write the chapters or what I'll do with POV's ( I might just do multiple pov's ex: ruby's pov, melt's pov, no one's pov, etc) since I'm starting school in a couple days plus I gotta figure out how to write it all out. I'll post the prologue first btw.
