TW; ed, self harm
Kyle had trouble sleeping that night. He couldn't stop thinking about Stan, and what he had done. It made him feel horrible. His stomach ached with anxiety for a few hours.
He was woken up by his old and dusty alarm clock, and he sat up and groaned. Two hours of sleep, he realized, was all he got. He turned his obnoxious alarm clock off and stood up, literally shivering since it was freezing and he was only in shorts and a tee shirt. It was warmer under the blankets..
He stretched and made his way over to his closet, slipping his comfy clothes off to change into decent ones that he could wear in public. He wore a pair of jeans with a medium sized white shirt and a dark green zip up hoodie. He walked out of his bedroom and into the bathroom across the hall and began to brush his teeth, do his business and other daily necessities.
He stared at himself in the mirror and couldn't help but feel disgusted by what he saw. He looked sickly. His cheekbones were sunken in and his eye-bags were worse than ever. He'd been getting these repetitive night terrors that just couldn't seem to go away and that's what caused the bags under his eyes. He hugged his empty stomach as it growled for something, anything to eat, and waltzed out of the bathroom, walking downstairs before putting on his black converse and tying the laces. After grabbing his backpack, he was about to walk out of the front door before he heard his mother calling for him from the kitchen.
"Kyle? Is that you?" She said, not leaving where she was. Kyle perked up at the sound of his mothers voice before replying to her.
"Yes, ma." He responded, looking at himself in the mirror next to the front door and fixing up the final touches to his hair.
"Would you like something to eat?" Sheila asked. Kyle pondered in his spot for a second before quickly responding with a; "No, thank you ma. I love you, bye." He said, before walking out the door; making his way to school.
He hadn't even been walking for a few minutes before he stopped, glancing up at Stan's house and waiting for the male to come out. He doubted Stan would be up this early, he was always a few minutes late-
"Hey, Ky." He heard a familiar voice say, and then hearing his front door close shut.
His eyes lit up and a warm smile formed on his face. "Hey-," He said, before Stan basically fell into him; hugging Kyle tightly with his arms loosely wrapped around the boys waist. Stan couldn't help but be a bit concerned feeling how slim his figure was. But, he thought it was just normal. Kyle was a naturally thin guy. Stan pulled out of the hug and softly kissed his lips; and like always it was heaven on earth.
Kyle didn't want to pull away but if he didn't they might've been late. He took ahold of Stans hand and intertwined their fingers together, Kyle brought the hand up to his lips and kissed Stans knuckles gently before beginning to walk with him, swinging their arms ever so slightly.
Once the two arrived at the school, they had to part ways as they unfortunately didn't share classes in the morning, nor did they in the afternoon. So, it'd be agony without Stan once again. But, he could manage. He always got through the day.
(not easily)
Everybody knew Stan and Kyle were a thing, so they didn't really care about public displays of affection. I mean, not full on making out against the lockers, but just a small peck on the lips and holding hands was nice.
