Shadow's POV

I awoke in Sonic's bed. I looked at him, he stared at me with a mad expression.

"What happened last night? Ow, my head..." I groaned. He had his arms crossed.

"You tell me." He said in a furious tone. I noticed his hair was getting a darker color. "What the hell were you doing at the bar?" He asked

"Whoa Sonic. You've gotta cool down." I told him.

"Cool down? I'm pretty chill." Here comes Darkie. He pinned me down. "Now, you will be punished for going a place you weren't suppose to go." He said.

"Wait Sonic!" He pushed his head against my chest, biting down hard. I felt my body tense up.

Narrator's POV

Shadow's pupils grew smaller, fangs hung from his top lip. His eyes gleamed. He quickly pushed Sonic off of him, pinning him down...hissing.

Shadow turned into a vampire when he felt threatened sometimes. He was ready to strike at Sonic's neck, when he received a punch on the cheek. He knocked onto the floor, but landed on all fours.

Someone pulled Sonic off of the bed and to the doorway. Sonic broke from his terrifying state.

"Tails?" He asked looking up, but looked back at Shadow who was hissing at him. Tails pulled Sonic out and shut the door, locking it. Something hit the door pretty hard, Shadow. "Tails, what happened?" Sonic asked.

"I heard everything from the living room. You were angered at Shadow because he went to the bar. Then you attacked him, causing him to go bananas." Tails told Sonic.

"Oh no. We've gotta get outta here. That door won't hold him l-" but before Sonic could finish, Shadow had broken a hole in the door, pushing them down. "Tails to the attic! I'll hold him off!" Sonic yelled. Tails ran that way.

Shadow looked at him in fury.

"Hey Shadzter..." He said. "I know we got on to a bad start but-"

Sonic was suddenly smashed against the wall and gripped by the neck. Shadow licked his lips.

"Who's on the bad start now?" Shadow asked with a lustful voice. Sonic whimpered. "Too bad such a precious thing like you will soon parish..." He said. He pulled his head to Sonic's neck and bit down, hard inserting his fangs, but before he brought any blood into his mouth...

"Once upon a time...t-there was a little girl who's grandpa created a living life form." Shadow took some pressure from his bite. "A-And...her name was Maria. The life form was named Shadow. They became excellent friends..." Shadow dropped Sonic and fell to his knees. He gripped his head and groaned. "Then one day, the government came in. They wanted to take Shadow away, but Maria took him-"

"Stop!"

"To a hidden escape capsule. A soldier followed them...there she placed her him in the capsule, but before she could release the capsule, the soldier came in and-"

"Stop it!"

"Ordered the girl to release the lever. She refused. She pulled it instead, he soldier shot her dead and Shadow hurried down to earth."

"Ahh!"

"But you knew why she gave her life up for him? Because she knew he'd fulfill the promise he'd made to her. That he would always beat the bad, that he would always be good. That he'd protect, and never hurt." Sonic said. Shadow looked up at him.

Panting, his eyes went back to normal...his fangs shrunk. Sonic crouched down by him and patted him on the back. Shadow picked up his hanging head and looked up at Sonic.

He gasped. "Sonic your neck!" He pointed out. He looked at it.

"I'm fine...It's you that I'm worried about." Sonic said.

"Let me heal you..." Shadow said.

"Shadow save your energy." Sonic said, but Shadow licked his neck...soon closing the cut. He spit the blood out, therefor not wanting to taste Sonic's blood, which would set him off again.

"I'm sorry... I felt threatened." Shadow's ears fell flat against his head.

"I forgive you, I'm also sorry for jumping in you like that. I know you were mad at me for not telling my parents about us. If you want me to I'll tell them right now." Sonic took his phone out.

"I also forgive you and..." Shadow smirked. He caught Sonic's lips and kissed him, then he broke away. "I'd like you to tell your parents about us."
