in plain words shall I write
about the affairs of life;

let me be troubled not
by the blood-suffused tragedies,

instead let me sail the belly of my finger
along the constant current flow that is life,

along the body of those pain-stricken words,
the depth, the meaning, the beauty.

that is what I want—to be engulfed,
wet and dripping with life.

to be bare, to learn to breathe
underneath the surface.

strong lungs, scented by dark grapes of sensuality,
strong will, scintillating by the gloss upon my lips.

memories have clung to my clothes,
as of now I shall only seldom look back at them,

different identities, many heads,
I sigh with the longing for singularity.

I must be marooned—
and in plain actions I shall abandon

each and every act of bloodshed
done against those plain heads,

discard them like underwear
and walk, day and night, no matter.

one person,
one hope.

eyes set on God,
raspberries fluttering in my hand.
