It was Christmas Day and my mom and I opened our presents after we woke up. I bought her a matching bracelet and necklace along with some outfits and a pair of shoes.

I got some more clothes, a pair of blue beats, some shoes, gift cards, money, etc.

I know some of ya'll are wondering how I am paying for all of this stuff. Let me fill ya'll in. Since I was fifteen, my mom gave me $150 a month from my dad's $300 child support check. I've never used that money, it's just been building up. So for the past two years, I've acquired $3600.

Once we were finished, I got dressed and made sure my bag was packed for Stacey's house.

Once I zipped my bag up, my phone started ringing.

"Hello?" I answered.

"Hey babe, are you still coming? It's almost noon." Brayden asked.

"Yeah! I'm about to leave. Be there in ten!" I said as I grabbed my bag.

I walked downstairs and made my way to the front door.

"Say hello to Claire for me! And have fun!" My mom called from the top of the stairs.

"I will!" And I made my way to my car and drove to Brayden's house.

When I pulled up, Justin's car was in the driveway so I parked on the street.

I got out and grabbed all of the presents and knocked on the door.

"Merry Christmas!" June, Brayden's mom opened the door.

"Merry Christmas!" I said as she gave me a hug. "And this is for you!" I handed her the gift bag.

"Oh you shouldn't have! Thank you dear!" Her green eyes glowed.

I took in her appearance, her brown hair was in a nice bun, she wore a beautiful baby blue dress to match her eyes with black pumps.

"You look fancy, where are you headed?" I asked.

"To a Christmas brunch with some coworkers. I'm bringing Brittany with me so she won't be in your way."

As if on cue Brittany, Brayden's nine year old sister ran to the door and gave me a hug.

"Amelia!"

She was a spitting image of her mom. Blue eyes, same nose, same smile, except Brittany has dirty blonde hair.
