All His Fault -Sandlot- Benny Rodreguez

PART 10 DISTRACTION

We finished the game and we walked back to our houses. Benny and I got back to our house wished each other good nights and we went inside. I listened to the radio as I drew in the kitchen with Da. Da was working on blueprints and I worked on a random drawing of a horse.

"Thunderstorm warning issued for San Fernando valley, Winston township, Wallace, and Andover township" came over the radio.

I walked outside and put duke into his stall so he wouldn't hurt himself during the rain. I came back inside and sat back down by dad.

"So you like Benny right?" Dad asked out of the blue.

"I-uh-um yeah" I struggled and blushed

"Good, he definitely likes you too" dad smiled

"How do you know?"

"Well he never leaves your side, he always looks at you when your not looking and he admires the living crap out of you." Dad chuckled "I know he's whole hell of a lot better than Nate but honestly honey I don't know if I want you dating again...for a while at least"

"Oh um alright"

I went up to my room 15 minutes later to sleep.

"ALLYSSA I'M HAVING THE BOYS OVER TODAY!" Matt yelled to me from downstairs.

I Groaned and laid in my bed. Ham ran into my room followed by the rest of the sandlot boys and shook me to get up.

"Will you dimwits leave me alone." I Groaned as squints pushed me off the bed. All the boys laughed and I got up to change. I kicked them all out of my room got ready for the day. It was still raining and thundering hard.

I went downstairs and found the boys and matt looking through our board games.

"Ya'll know how to play rummy or poker?" I asked the boys groggily

"No" they all said.

"Mm ok" Benny was sitting on the couch and I laid down next to him. I put my head on his lap and watched the boys fight over which game to play. I noticed Benny started playing with my hair and I blushed. The boys finally decided on a game and played, me and Benny watched.

"Hey, do y'all wanna arm wrestle?" I asked picking my head up off Benny's lap.

"Yeah!" They all agreed to play and I beat them all, even matt.

It was just me and Benny now. We connected hands and started, I was holding up a good defence for a while, but I started getting worn out and Benny was starting to beat me. I had to think fast. I leaned up kissed Benny square on the lips and beat him. I pulled away the second I beat him and everyone cheered.

"Hey you cheated!" Benny pouted.

"Oh don't pout Benny boi, you know you enjoyed it." I smirked flirtatiously at him.

We kept playing games until the boys had to go back home for dinner. Benny was the last out of the door.

"Hey Benny sorry I kissed you earlier I just couldn't swallow my pride and lose so I did that" I sighed shifting my weight from one foot to the other.

"It's ok, we should do it again" he smirked and jogged over to his place.

Dad saw me blushing as I walked back into the house. he laughed and I went up to my bedroom.
