I wake up and Alex is at the foot of my bed doing something but I can't tell what so I stretch and sit up. He turns around "ah your awake!" I nod "yeah what are you doing?" He stutters and looks down at his hands "I uhm. Just writing!" He shows me a notebook and sets it back down "what are you writing?" It has to be something interesting if he stuttered I bet... He turns red slightly and looks back at the book"uhm... I sorta just write, thought and or feelings I guess?" I smile "aww that's cute!" I wanna read it but I don't want to invade his privacy "what are you writing about right now?" I tilt my head and look at him with curiosity "I- uhm... Nothing!" I pout and lean back against my wall. He rolls his eyes and sighs "I'll let you read it eventually" I smile "promise? Wait.." I hold out my pinky "pinky promise?" He chuckles and interlocks his pinky with mine "fine! I pinky promise" he says it sincerely I think so I'll take it. I lean forward falling onto him and hug him "thank you! Thank you! Thank youuu!" I say it over and over while he hugs me back "okay, okay calm down Ma" I blush and smile at that. We let go and I see he's also smiling even though he's trying to hide it but then I hear knocking on my door so we look at each other then look at the door "come in!" Alex looks back down at his book while the door opens and I see my mom walk in with breakfast "good morning kids I brought breakfast! It's pancakes with some strawberries and a slice of buttered toast for both of you." I smile "thank you mom but we could have came down and ate with you guys?" She sighs and hands me a plate "your father left for work early." She hands the other plate to Alex and he nods then thanks her. I stand out of bed and hug mom "don't let it get to you mama! He does this every time he will act like nothing happened once he gets back." I grab her hands and look at her eyes but I can still tell it's bothering her. She sighs and gives me a weak smile "I know hun I just... I don't know? Wish this didn't happen at all I guess." She starts to tear up so I hug her again and Alex gets up and hugs both of us comfortingly. She calms down and looks at us "what's your plans for today?" She's changing the subject, but I don't blame her cause I would too so I just go along with it "I don't know I haven't really had time to think about it" I look over at Alex "what do you wanna do today m'lady?" I giggle and shrug "let me think!" I can't think anyways with all the things he says and does that take over all the space in my mind, mom turns around "just let me know if you guys are leaving if I'm still home, I'm going to work at 12 today" I nod and look at the clock and it's 9:45am "wanna go to the park?" I look over at Alex and nod "yeah I haven't been to the park in like a month!" He smiles and blushes "well good cause I have a surprise." What a surprise? What could it be? Well with it being Alex I have no clue. "Okay?" I say it curiously "I'm going to go home to change and I'll meet you at the park" I smile and walk to my closet to pick out an outfit. He grabs his phone and leaves, I start going through my closet and pick out a striped tank top with some Jean shorts. I put them on and grab my converses and a basic bag to put my headphones, phone, and a sketch book in.

When I go to the park I like to sketch the nature or something that comes to mind. As I turn around I see a book on my desk, the same one that Alex was writing in! "Ugh you tempt me so much Alex!" I sigh and shove it in my bag extremely tempted to read it. Should I? As I'm thinking I feel my phone buzz and I'm expecting it to be Alex but it's not. It's Ezra! "Yo, whatcha doing?" I open the message "about to go meet Alex at the park hbu?" As soon as he sees the message I get a video call from him, I answer "yes?"I say looking at the camera to see him giving me 'the look' "what Ezzy?" He scoffs "girl you know exactly what! You like him, he likes you, yall are meeting up!" I roll my eyes and pull out the book "he left his diary thing here too" "oh my god I have so many questions!" I smile "ask away?" Instantly "when was he at at your house and why!" I blush "he came over last night when my parents were arguing and he came over to comfort me but ended up staying the night" Ezra blinks in shock "okayyy! Did you read it?" I sigh "no.. I don't know if I should? Should I?" He rolls his eyes "yes dummy!" I grip the book nervously "I don't know.." he sighs "just so it or I will!" I open it "fine! Fine, but only a page!" Ezra squeals as I look down at the first page "Ezzy this one looks interesting!" I hold it up to the camera and show him that it has hearts around the border of the page "it's probably about you!" I blush and roll my eyes "whatever." I start reading it and the date is from yesterday
7/19/23 I have to do it at some point soon right? I stayed the night at her house and we always are talking! But what if she doesn't like me? What if once I ask her on a date tomorrow she stops talking to me? I don't know... well I'll only know if I do it so I might as well!
"EZZY I THINK HE LIKES ME" he gasps "I mean I knew it but yes! Go girl!~" I stare in shock at the book "I- I gotta go Ezra, I have to go see him now!" I smile and we say goodbye and hang up. I shove the book back in my bag and can't stop smiling, am I sure I want to do this? What if we get together and then people judge us and he starts hating me? What if this isn't even about me!? All my thoughts are put on pause when my phone buzzes and of course it's from Alex "hey heading to the park now! I hope you like the surprise." I smile "yeah I'm getting ready to leave rn I can't wait! :)" I put my phone in my bag and head downstairs "where you going hun?" I forgot mom was here oops "Alex asked me to go to the park with him" she smiled "okay have fun!" She grabbed her bag and headed to work while I went to the bathroom to get ready. Afterwards I pet Rosie and walked out the door, I opened my bag to grab my phone texted him "on my way now! See ya soon! :)" I grabbed my headphones and put on my playlist. I was looking at the trees while walking and seen a bird "I'm gonna sketch that!" So I took a picture on my phone of the bird and kept walking till I got to the park. I found Alex laying on a blanket under a tree "what's all this?" He looked up at me and smiled "this is part of your surprise!" I look at him confused and sat down. I took off my headphones and leaned against the tree "nature is so pretty." He looked over at me and looked up at the trees then over at the pond with all the flowers and animals "it really is beautiful isn't it?" He mumbles something after that but I can't hear "what did you say?" He looks back at me blushing "uh! N-nothing!" Okay yeah I think Ezra is right. I start giggling and grab my sketchbook at start drawing "what are you doing?" I look up and he looks at me confused "I seen a bird I felt like drawing, here look!" I pull out my phone and show him the picture "oh nice show me after your done!" I smile and nod then look back down until I finally finish the drawing about 15 minutes later "Hey Alex here look" I hand him the drawing and he looks at it in shock "you just did this in like 20 minutes?!" I smile "yeah you can go through them if you want" he nods and starts flipping the pages "Y/n, these are literally amazing!" He hands the book back and I put it in my bag and then grab his book "oh yeah by the way you left this at my house" he stares at the book and slowly grabs it "uhm thanks..." should I bring up that I read a page? No I probably shouldn't I don't want to worry him. He sets the book down so I put my hand on his and look at him "no need to worry Alex okay?" He blushes and smiles "thanks Y/n" he grabs a basket from behind "you hungry" when aren't I "yes I'm starving!" He smiles and hands me a sandwich "thanks" I take it and start eating while he grabs an apple and also starts eating. "So y/n how's your day so far?" I don't know good? But at the same time I don't know how it's gonna end which is making me nervous "it's pretty good so far and I haven't been to the park in a while" I pause for a moment "how about you, How's your day going?" He looks at me "good so far but I have one last surprise for you" he says nervously which makes me even more nervous but excited? "Oh what is it?" I say curiously but I think I already know what it is but I don't know "you'll see, here follow me" he stands up and offers me his hand to help me up so I grab his hand and stand up "where are we going?" He smiles "just on a walk around the park" oh? Okay I guess "just follow me Y/n" we walk over to the sidewalk and we are looking at the ducks "we should go on walks more often Alex, it's really peaceful out here" he seems nervous I think? "Yeah we should Y/n!"
School started for me so I'm a lil busy but I'll try to keep updating the story! (Word count 1856)
