Aizawa's Pov:
I walked into my class and everybody shut up. They were shocked at my expression and Bakugou just looked down, probably guessing what was going to happen. "Problem children, Hawks is going to enter the classroom and talk to you about self harm, and abusive homes." Everybody glanced towards bakugou confused. "I know you all noticed Bakugou was with me yesterday, that was for a different reason that I will not disclose. This is because it has come to my attention that some of you are and have been bullied, and the abusive homes thing is because this talk has been due for a long time. Kendo, Monoma, and Shinsou will be joining us for this talk." I said as those three sat down. "Hawks, come on in." He entered and stood in front of my class as I sat at my desk.
Hawks Pov:
"You already know why I'm here so lets just get on with this. Questions can be asked at the end. Self harm can be many things. Burning yourself, cutting yourself, scratching yourself until you're red or bleeding, hell it's even over working yourself. If you are hurting yourself, and it is intentional, it is considered self harm, scars or not. Blood or not. It can be very addicting, easily hidden, and not noticeable."
"Some alternatives to self harm, whether your trying to get clean, or don't want to start, can be wearing a rubber band and snapping it against your skin when you get the urge, journalism, ice, red marker or pen where you typically do it, drawing, exercising, and sometimes even talking about it. Suicide hotlines are a good place to talk, as its anonymous. These are only a few ways to not do it. I don;t particularly recommend waiting it out, however it can sometimes help."
"Another thing you can do is call Aizawa. He won't bring it up, but will probably, subtly check in with you the next time he sees you. My other topic is abusive households. It can be emotionally, physically, verbally, doesn't matter. It's still abuse. Self harm can be a factor of abusive households. You can chalk it up as "That's just how the family acts" or "They probably deserve it" but abuse. Is. Abuse. I cannot stress this enough on you kids. It could be anyone's family, and you wouldn't know because your friends and peers are scared into silence, and their family acts different around you. They could act similarly to when their abusing your classmates, but not enough for you to chalk it up as abuse."
"If this is happening to you, leave a colored note under your desk, on Aizawa's, in his locker with your name on it and we will help you. Aizawa's locker is 28 in the teachers lounge. It can be after class, during lunch, before class, doesn't matter. Or, drop a letter down at my agency. We will try to help you best we can with how we are. I will now be taking questions because I can see you Midoriya." I finished.
"What do you mean by "how we are"?" -Midoriya
"We're stretched a bit thin with heroes working at ua, but we will find time to help you."
"What if your abuser is well known?" - Todoroki (plotting revenge I see)
"We will publicly shame them and put them away."
"If your recovering from self harm, and you feel like you need to again, but you are away from UA, would someone come over to help?" - Kaminari. Everybody looked over at him. Aizawa answered it this time.
"I'm up most nights, I don't care if your in America, I will find a way to get to you."
"Hawks, feel free to not answer this, but have you ever been in an abusive household?" - Mina
".... Since I turned eighteen. I was an expert at hiding it, and later put my parents away."
"Mina you should not ask questions like that! Can't you see he's uncomfortable now?" Iida said, doing his arm chopping thing. "Iida, it's alright. Mina, that was a good question." I told her. She nodded.
"... Hey Hawks.. Do you also struggle with self harm? Is that why theres a rubber band on your arm, and red lines on your inner arm?" -Monoma
"I do. I have been two years clean however and I'm gonna celebrate that with some friends tonight as that's today's milestone."
"Congrats." I nodded. "Any other questions?" They all shook their heads. "Awesome. And remember kids, don't do drugs, and stay in some sort of school. Aizawa, you're coming with us tonight." I said before leaving the classroom. I heard him groan and I walked over to the teachers lounge to see Mic, Midnight, and Nezu on the couch. I plopped down by them. "You guys are celebrating with me tonight right?" I asked them. They nodded. "Of course! It's been two years! That's something to celebrate!" Mic said a bit loudly.
