she decided it would be a good idea to go to the beach. the sun was still setting, the tide was probably coming in and the waves would be relaxing
she turned left instead of going round in the circle like they were doing before, "where are you taking me?" he shouted over the loud ass motorcycle engine again
"you'll see" she shouted back
she couldn't stop smiling, this was the happiest she'd felt in a long time
she parked her motorcycle in the car park next to the beach
she helped charlie get the helmet off and he talked about how cool it was the whole walk down to the main beach
she enjoyed listening to him
when they finally arrived down at the main part where are the tourists usually were it was empty, everyone had left
they both sat down in the sand just talking
even if it was the randomest conversation ever they just kept talking, it felt natural for both of them, they both enjoyed eachothers company
"say that again and I'll toss you in the water" charlie began
"i hate minecraft" she mocked repeating what she had said before
without any warning charlie picked her up running towards the water
as he stepped in he began to fake throw her, laughing at her screams
"CHARLIE IM GOING TO FUCKING KILL YOU- DONT YOU DARE"
her attempts to get him to stop only made him laugh more.
he finally stopped teasing her and sat her down this time a lot closer to the tide, they both sat watching as the tide would pull in making sure they weren't to close so they wouldn't get wet
"I'll never forgive you for that" she spoke
"I'm sure you will" he replied
"nuh uh. you went down 3 tiers on my tier list." she mocked him
he started laughing
both of them smiling
she took her phone out her pocket and checked the time

holy shit they had been out for that long?
she hadn't even realised because of how light it was in summer, it only really got dark around 2-3am
"we should hang out more often, mel" charlie smiled
"agreed" mel spoke, resting her head on his shoulder
