[Hey, just saying this story will have character deaths because it's a despair arc, a little angst, and written gore and such. Thank you for listening. I also curse like a sailor. I'll use they/them, but the reader will be feminine, and you should ignore feminine texts if you don't like this.]

By the way, 1,060 words.

I woke up slowly in a cabinet, attempting to stretch but not having enough room. I was reasonably confused about how the fuck I fell asleep in a cupboard. I opened the cabinet door and stepped out, rubbing my eyes drowsily. I plummeted down to the floor because, as I didn't notice, it was a top cabinet. I recovered quickly, rubbing the arm that broke my fall, and expecting my house, I found myself in an unfamiliar room. I dust myself off as I get up before I hear a nearby crash. I turn to see a rather emo-looking boy, and he looks about my age, too, and because I am in a state of panic, seeing this man does not help. "Uhm, who the fuck are you?!" I shouted anxiously, and he seemed startled by it, and I realized he was probably not a bad guy, "I apologize for being impolite. Still, who are you?" I say calmly but still nervously. He looks at me and responds, "I'm Shuichi Saihara, w-who are you?" I answer his question with, "Nice to meet you, and I'm [Y/N] [L/N]." I'm still rather anxious. He gets up from falling from the locker, dusting himself off.

I begin walking around the confusing room, gathering information before spotting the door and deciding to leave. As I step out, I recognize that Shuichi's following behind me. It makes me a little anxious, but I push down all my questions. I continued walking down the halls. I had hoped to find a few people I could trust more than this random boy, like someone I'd met. Instead of someone I've ever known, when I turned the corner, I saw a giant fucking robot. Well, that's enough anxiety to last a while. I immediately felt like I was about to pass out, but luckily, Shuichi started to drag me by the wrist, waking me up fully as we ran away like the cowards we were. Eventually, we reached a gym with a lot of others. I felt like it was probably safe for just about half a second before MULTIPLE robots entered. As someone who faints easily, that was way too fucking much. I tried to keep myself stable by leaning against a wall, but I still passed out.

[Time skip? How the fuck do I write sleeping?]

I slowly open my eyes, greeted by a green-haired male. He backed up and said, "Oh, you're up." I sat up, rubbing my eyes and taking in the large group, most of them talking about what was going on. "Oh, hi, Rantaro," I responded before realizing that he also happened to make. "...how do you know my name?" he questioned, tilting his head to the left like a dog hearing a whistle. "I'm not sure, actually," I answered, trying to remember why but my memory was like TV static. I stood up and stretched before trying to figure out what they were saying, and the words I managed to hear were about a killing game, which confused me. "What's going on, by the way?" I asked the boy. "Some kind of killing game, and you should check your monopad to see the rules." The phrase monopad reasonably confused me, but I noticed something in my [YOU CHOOSE! Hair, backpack, pocket, any space you'd like to use for storage.],  a device. I pulled it out, and it displayed my name before showing me a rules page. I scrolled through them. I wasn't exactly a rule breaker, especially in such a dangerous situation. I attempted to calm myself down before thanking Rantaro and walking into the group nervously.

[Timeskip for the induction stuff because otherwise, it'll be super awkward.]

We decided to investigate the school, and Gonta and I had decided to look through the garden-looking place because he wanted to look for bugs. I was mainly looking for exits, but if I happened to find a bug, I would tell him. I found a metal cover, attempting to lift it but being far too weak. As I was about to ask Gonta, I felt a tap on my shoulder. It startled me a little, but it was okay. "Gonta found no bugs, but did [Y/N] find any?", Gonta said as I responded, "Oh, no, I didn't, but I found this metal cover, and I think there's a possibility of it being an exit, but I'm too weak to lift it. Could you try when we show the others, Gonta?" I requested as he nodded politely. "Alright, let's go see what the others gathered," I say as we walk back to the gym. Everyone was already there, so I assume we were the last ones. We begin discussing everything we found and what it could mean. What I and Gonta found caught Shuichi's attention. "Wait, you think you might've found an exit?" the emo-looking boy questioned. I nodded, and Gonta asked if they wanted to see it. Everyone agreed, obviously, desperate for a way out already.

I lead them the way there. Gonta grabbed it and tossed it effortlessly despite its immense weight. We went down the ladder, and I went last. I'm glad none of the men were perverts because, well, you know, skirts. Well, we made it to the bottom, and we saw an escape tunnel. Kaede hyped us up to go in the tunnel, and we started the journey. It was a tricky path, and because Tenko said that the men must go first, most men had to retreat. Rantaro was the last one and, while running, jokingly shouted, "Let's go, gays!" at us. In the end, we all failed. We tried and tried but still failed. Ultimately, we gave up.

I returned to my cottage, almost slipping down the stairs. I locked the doors and lay on my bed with my arms spread out, closing my eyes and daydreaming until I fell asleep, pushing the motive and situation out of my mind.
