A/N: Percy is a bit cringy in this chapter, but be realistic, he's new to this world and the normal stuff in it. Anyways, he'll adapt very quickly, so remember that when reading it, that's not how he's going to act, like he doesn't know how to talk to girls, Lmao.

Also! If the timeline is confusing, my plan was to start the first book series of events with Kronos, but they're 16 instead of 12. And also it will move much quicker with different things happening so yeah.

Enjoy! -J

"Whatcha up to?" Percy asked goofily, plopping down onto the grassy hill beside her.

Annabeth held up her book with a small glare for interrupting her. "Reading."

He laid all the way down into the grass, sighing contently. "You know, I like reading, I actually read a fair bit, but even I don't have my nose stuck in a book twenty four seven."

The blonde clasped her book closed, clearly she wasn't going to get any reading done here.

"You don't strike me as the type of person to enjoy reading, or anything...intelligent."

She smirked as his face went agape.

"Wow. That was really rude, Beth."

Her smirk disappeared as his returned. "Don't call me that." She snapped with the wrinkle of her nose.

"If you stop being rude, I'll stop calling you, Beth."

The blonde rolled her eyes. "Fine."

He uncovered his hand on the other side of his body, revealing a very pretty flower. Annabeth was confused until he held it out to her. "For you."

Annabeth hesitantly took it. "I hope you know this isn't going to woo me. This form of romance fell out of fashion about three hundred years ago."

Percy frowned. "I saw someone do it during my travels. They looked young. What can I do better then?"

Annabeth had to stop herself from looking surprised. She had expected him to make some kind of corny joke, or flirtatious innuendo, but he sounded very genuine.

Was he genuinely trying to win her over?

Percy had been at camp for about a month now. People speculated on who's kid he might be, but he rarely hung out with many, and often kept to himself.

Annabeth had seen him multiple times, entering the dangerous forest at night. When she asked all he had said was training.

No one had managed to get a glimpse of his powers though, so there was no way they could figure out the truth.

The daughter of Athena had to admit he was very tough on himself, she'd taken time out of her day to watch, and he never skipped a day, always working towards something. As annoying as he was, that was admirable.

Oh, and he was so incredibly annoying, smiling and laughing all the time, even when multiple girls would approach him in a single day. He didn't seem to understand they were flirting with him, that they just wanted to get in his pants. He seemed to understand the concept of love, but not quite lust yet.

Which meant Annabeth couldn't really force herself to believe he was trying to get in her pants.

She did find him attractive. Well...more than just attractive, but it would take a hell of a lot of work to get her to admit that. She refused to think of his sculpted, muscular, lean body, or his mesmerizing eyes, his cute dimples, sharp jawline, dark, dangerous and oh so good facial features.
