Mia woke up in a dark basement. There were pillars everywhere and the ceiling was falling apart. Mia thought she hallucinated the other Mia, but she didn't know where she was so it was possible she didn't.
She stood up and winced. Her sides still hurt from being squeezed so hard. She thought she would be used to being squeezed hard.
Sorry. Dirty minded message in that.
She sat back on her torn up cot. She was pretty sure she wasn't dreaming when her face appeared above her. She looked a lot older than Mia. At least Mia hoped she did, because if she didn't she would have looked forty or fifty years old.
Now she was mad at that man for pushing her. And she was mad at the Wisp. What was up with strange people pushing her into mirrors. Mia had never touched a mirror before. Her parents thought she was a vampire. But they didn't exist.
"Fuck," her head was throbbing. Sorry again. Her head hadn't hurt like this since she met Max. It was at a party. But we're not getting into it. She decided to stomach the pain and walked to the stairs in the corner. She walked up to the door. And it swung open. Of coarse it did.
"Whats your name?" The old Mia questioned as she walked down the stairs making young Mia back down them.
"What's yours?" She fired back.
"Same as yours hopefully?"Mirror Mia said. Mia had no idea what she meant by hopefully but she just thought she was kinky. "Is your name Mia?"
"Uh... yes. Sorry, is this a kink? No hate, just asking."
"No," Mirror Mia shut down Mia's accusations. Mia was now on the cot still backing as far away from her as possible.
"Why do you look so old?" Mia asked before she could stop herself.
"Because I am old," she didn't seem affected by this question, like she had been asked that before.
"I need your help Mia," said Mirror Mia.
"Hold on, I just met you, know almost nothing about you, and don't even know where I am." Mia laid out her situation like the other didn't know that.
"Well, I'm Mia-"
Yeah, no shit," Mia interrupted.
Mirror Mia took a deep breathe and made a sharp exhale. "I am 46 year-"
"Holy shit! What year is it? Sorry."
Mirror Mia looked like she was about to strangle her young guest. "It is 2023," she said in between her teeth. This was the most annoying Mia she had ever met.
"Good same year," Mia said.
"I was twenty-four when the world went to shit in 2001. And I need your help."
"With what?" Mia asked.
"To save the world," Mirror Mia said.
Mia stared at Mirror Mia for a few seconds, "Why would I do that?" She said that with the most confused look on her face to piss Mirror Mia off, and it was working.
"Because I can get you home."
"Done!" Mia held out her hand for Mirror Mia to take. Mirror Mia smiled and took her had.
"So we have a deal?"
"Of coarse. If it gets me home I'll do it," Now you may be thinking why wouldn't she just go through another mirror. Well for one she didn't want to risk that, and two she wouldn't be able to anyway. All the mirrors hear were broken by the Oni, or not big enough to fit her. The Oni broke the Mirrors for this exact reason.
"So... when do we leave?" Asked our Mia.
"Right now," Mirror Mia said with a smirk. She got revenge on the annoying brat.
"What?! I haven't packed anything!"
"You have nothing to pack."
"But I could have."
Sorry for this quick interruption my sisters came into my be room and threw my cat at a spider on the wall so now it's under my bed. I I'll not be sleeping tonight.
"But you didn't."
"But I could have."
"I'm not doing this you insufrable child."
"I thought you needneeded my help," said Mia with a little pout on her lip. "Mommy's being mean. Oooooo I'm calling you Mommy."
"Please don't,"Mommy- sorry, Mirror Mia said. "Now lets go."
