Hi. Sorry for not updating. I went camping again. But also I read The Sun and The Star, by Rick Riordan. Highly recommend. Anyway, story time. I thought this song was kind of connected to this story but I don't really think that anymore.

Mia was just hanging in the giant's hand. Barely conscious. They had been traveling for days and it felt even longer. But Mia could still feel Ann next to her trying to get her attention. Mia really did not want to do anything anymore. She was too tired, too sad, and way too bent out of shape.

Ann said more things, everything just went straight over Mia's head. All she heard were the voices inside of her telling her she failed, and that she would never make it home now.

Can't believe you actually thought we would make it.

They're going to kill us now.

We'll never see Max again.

Was she going crazy?

Our family will throw our funeral.

We'll never get to sleep in a warm bed again.

She tried to block out these voices, but they kept coming back in. Mia looked at Ann.

She'll die because of you.

This one got to her. Ann was going to die because of her. She didn't know how but she had to find a way to get her out of there. She didn't know why but these monsters seemed to want to kill her so badly. Ann was crying her eyes out. She didn't deserve this life. None of these people did.

Hours passed without Mia noticing. She was lost in the thought of everything that happened in the last twenty-four hours.

The monster who used to be Ann's brother dropped them in a pitch-black room with cushions on the bottom. But the cushions were wet. Why were they wet? Where was this? There was squishing across the room.

"Ann?"

No answer came. Just sobbing. Mia tried to crawl over to the source of the crying.

"Ann, it's okay-"

Ann wrapped her arms around her. Mia let her cry into her shirt. They stayed like that for a way. Until they heard gurgling. And the whole room shook.

"What is that?" Ann asked. Mia stood up to find it and Ann grabbed her hand.

"I don't know," Mia said, "Just stay behind me."

Mia started walking around trying to find a way out. She was touching all the walls. Another gurgle sounded shaking the room again. The room tilted one way and both of the girls fell in that direction. Mia hit a wall with a circular entrance that she narrowly missed. Ann's hand slipped from hers.

"ANN!"

She couldn't see much in this room but she definitely saw Ann fall into the entrance. Ann's screams sounded through the room. Mia walked toward the entrance while hugging the wall. The walls were so mushy. When she reached the entrance she poked her head in.

"ANN!"

You killed her Mia.

"Shut up!" the voice stopped. "Ann? Are you okay?" The room shook again and she lost her balance.

"Shit!" She fell. Soon she would be with Ann. Very, very soon.
