"Aly," Madi laughs, looking at her best friend. "You're shaking so much," she points out.
"I'm just super excited! I've always wondered what it was like to do magic like you guys but this is just — out of this world," she exclaimed, looking at the Hogwarts express in awe. She stands alongside her best friends Madi, Kim, and Noia. Madi and Kim are both Pure-Blood, while Noia is a Half-Blood — he knows the most about magic out of all of them, though — Aly, on the other hand, is a Muggle-Born.
If you told Aly that she was a witch just like her friends a couple months ago — she would've looked at you like you were an alien. Now shes standing in front of a magic train, almost on the way to a magic school, to do magic with her best friends and her trusty cat, Naomi.
"What house do you think i'll be in?" Aly asks them excitedly for the 10th time this morning.
They all giggle at her constant jittering.
"Gryffindor for sure! You're almost as brave as I am," Madi winks. Madi talks for hours about how she will definitely be Gryffindor. Aly always agrees because Madi is the most courageous person she knows. Madi is tall for her age, but still slightly shorter than Aly. Her long brown hair almost half her height and almost the same tone as her skin. Her cat, a siamese, holds almost the same personality as her.
"Well I for one think she would be great in Ravenclaw. You're smart! And you love reading, don't you?" Noia butts in. Noia is pretty short compared to Aly and Madi — his curly hair the same. He holds a cage with a beautiful Barn Owl in it.
"I do love reading — 'smart' though? I wouldn't say that." Aly responded, snickering. Although Ravenclaw wouldn't be bad, Aly thinks it would be a much better fit for Noia. Always number one in their classes, Aly doubts it would change at Hogwarts.
"Well..." Kim pondered for a minute. "Maybe Hufflepuff? I agree with you guys also but you're really kind and loyal so I don't know," she shrugged. As much as Aly loves the ego-boost, she wouldn't define herself as a "really kind" person. Kim, on the other hand, is like an angel who accidentally fell from heaven. She is much shorter than the rest of them — sometimes Aly thinks its because she doesn't drink enough milk; but Kim just laughs in her face when she says that. She has wavy, dirty blonde, mid length hair and a lot of freckles spread across her face. Her black cat being held in her petite arms.
Aly smiles, "Thanks! I mean I'm sure those houses are great and all but what about the fourth house? You guys never really mention it when I ask and I kind of forgot the name..." She says sheepishly at the end.
The three give each other a 'look'.
"Well... it wouldn't be completely bad. But..." Madi moves closer and drops her voice to a low volume, "All the evil witches and wizards come from Slytherin. Especially you know who,"
Aly thought for a moment, taking in the information — then shrugged. "I really don't see the problem,"
Noia facepalms at her lack of concern, "You know, you're the only person who isn't afraid of even the mention of him. Besides Madi of course — Madi isn't afraid of anything,"
Madi opens her mouth for a rebuttal but Kim speaks first. "I hate to break it to you guys but we are totally going to miss the train if we stay here talking,"
Everyone nods in agreement and starts to get on the train. The four of them spend a couple minutes searching for an empty compartment but to no avail.
Madi groans, "Okay i guess theres nothing that can fit all of us so lets split up and i'll see you guys at school?"
The three of them sigh and disperse.

Kim starts retracing her steps and going the other direction along with Noia. She finds a compartment with three ginger boys in it.
