A/N: the past two chapters have been in present tense but I think I'm gonna change to past, sorry if that confuses you guys but i find it much easier to write in
Aly woke up at 4am on the dot. She tried to go back to sleep but her brain was running too much that it didn't work. She sighed and got up to get ready. Might as well read a little before breakfast She thought.
After showering and changing into her robes, she headed down to the common room. Shes surprised to see Draco there, on one end of the black, leather couch, reading a book.
He looked up upon hearing Aly's footsteps and sneers, "What are you doing up so early? And here i thought i would be able to get some peace and quiet for once,"
Aly ignored the snark in his tone and answered honestly, "I couldn't sleep," she shrugged, "Can I sit?" asked Aly sheepishly, pointing to the other edge of the couch.
Draco sighed and rolled his eyes, "Do whatever you want as long as you're not bothering me,"
"And how does one not bother the all great and might Draco Malfoy," she retorted sarcastically.
He said nothing but shot her a glare so deadly that Aly was scared it could kill her.
"Hey, Aly!" Said Pansy's enthusiastic voice, coming down from the dorms. Accompanied with her was Daphne and Millicent. Aly smiled and waved.
"When did you wake up?" Daphne inquired.
"Uhhh," Aly checked her watch, it's currently 7am, "about 3 hours ago?"
"Why so early? Does it take you that long in the bathroom?" Daphne joked.
Aly giggled, "No no, I just couldn't sleep. First day nerves i suppose,"
"That's probably to be expected," Pansy hummed, "Well come on, don't wanna be late for breakfast!"
"What do we have first?" Aly asked her friends, taking out her schedule.
"Double potions with the Gryffindors," Tracy Davis, another first year Slytherin girl, groaned.
"Wait like we have potions with the Gryffindors? At the same time?" Aly said excitedly, hoping to see Madi.
"Yeah unfortunately. Don't look so happy," Pansy complained.
"I can't help it. My bestest friend ever is Gryffindor,"
"Oh yeah i remember you mentioning that last night," Daphne said, a little more calmer than Tracy and Pansy.
Potions lessons took place in the dungeons so it wasn't too far of a walk for them.
Aly walked in and immediately spotted Madi, sitting down next to Harry and Ron. Aly couldn't help but notice the sour faces Madi made whenever she would look at Ron. Madi noticed Aly and quickly waved her over.
"Aly! Oh my god it's been torturous without you,"
Aly chuckled, "I've missed you too, but atleast we have classes together," then she leaned in to whisper, "why do u look like you want to kill that ginger?"
"What, Ron?"
Aly shrugged and nodded.
Madi took one more glare at him then whispered back: "He said girls are rubbish at quidditch and that I probably wont get on the team. Bloody insane," she complained.
Aly grimaced, "Thats so stupid, you'll be the youngest star of the decade just he wait."
Madi nodded approvingly.
