It had been a little over two years since Terran had met Arthur. They had fought two more battles since the first. Bedivere had been badly wounded during the last, causing him to lose his right arm. A prosthetic took its place, courtesy of merlin.

Things seemed to be going well for the young pendragon as he had been garnering more support through his leadership. Arthur had even added two more men to his personal knights.

Sir Percival, a white-haired, blue-eyed knight who was kinder than most. He looked up to Arthur and quickly became friends with Sir Terran. The prince had felt that Percival was someone who could always be trusted.

The other was a knight with purple hair and eyes. He had joined in during the third battle, fighting alongside King Arthur. He was Sir Lancelot, the knight of the lake who wielded the sword Arondight. He was greatly skilled, often being compared to Terran.

Nobody knew the reason, though it was rumored to have been egged on by Sir Valentine, but Sir Lancelot and Sir Terran had fought a duel shortly upon their return to Orkney. It is said that they dueled for several hours with no clear victor.

Terran Dean himself had become a great figure among Arthur's comrades. He had grown a little taller, standing at 6' (182cm). His red hair had grown long and almost wild like. Because of his mane of hair and the bravery he had shown, people had begun to call him the lion knight. Both the nobility and the common people had come to respect him. It might be safe to say that he was the most beloved of Arthur's knights.

Halsted stood alone atop a hill above their encampment, looking out over the hundreds of tents that filled the landscape. He had found out long ago that he didn't like being in the middle of all the noise. People had a tendency to stare at him. He wasn't sure if it was his abnormal strength, his achievements in battle, or his looks.

He was more than aware that the draconic features on his face made him stand out. According to King Harmon Dean, Halsted had been born weak. His mother, who was desperate to preserve the last thing left of his late father, had taken him to the fairies who lived in the forests around Ravenhill. She had begged for their blessings for his sake. The fairies agreed to help. A dragons heart was used in a ritual, and his life was saved. Now dragons blood ran through his veins, changing him and making him stronger.

His instincts were greater than any human, and steel couldn't cut through his skin. He is the strongest. Those were the words often uttered about him. But he didn't allow himself to think much about it. He wouldn't allow pride to overcome him, for he is as much of a human as he is a dragon.

"I thought I'd find you here."

Terran had walked up the hill and stood next to him. His gaze also found its way the encampment. His eyes seemed like molten gold in the evening light.

Terran Dean was one of the few individuals who didn't treat him strangly. To the Prince of Ravenhill, he was just his close friend. Halsted preferred that treatment.

"Wild beasts are running rampant." Terran said, "I've volunteered to drive them away. Valentine is being dispatched to quell the bandits that have appeared because of the war."

Magic beasts had been appearing more often. Halsted had heard the reports that Lady Morgan had brought in. Attacks and spottings had appeared all over the country.

Bandits, on the other hand, were a common occurrence during war. And despite his attitude, Valentine Lavorre was not heartless. He would not allow outlaws to terrorize the innocent.

"You will stay here on the front lines." His friend told him.

"Will you be going alone?" Halsted questioned.
