Gawain rode as fast as he could. Sir Terran had ordered him to return to King Arthur to warn him about the black knight. He had wanted to stay with the lion knight, but Terran told him that it wasn't the time for glory. And upon asking his mentor what he planned to do once he met the black knight, Sir Terran had said this:

"We are the kings men. We will deliver the kings justice."

Gawain looked up to him. Before they were first introduced, his mother had told him to be polite and listen to everything he said. It had made him so nervous. But then he had seen the red-haired man in the training yard. He defeated opponent after opponent but never looked down upon them. The way he spoke in public was also respectful. Gawain had also seen the way Terran interacted with King Arthur. They seemed close.

He seemed a gallant knight in the young Gawain's mind. It was like Sir Terran walked straight out of a book.

A horn sounded as he rode towards camp.

"Rider approaching!" A soldier called out.

Gawain slowed his horse, swinging his leg over one side and dropping down onto his feet.

"Where's the king?!" Gawain asked in half a panick, "I have urgent news!"

"Breathe and calm yourself." A deep and calm voice told him.

The man who spoke was Sir Halsted Perugias, the Dragon Knight. Sir Terran had once said that no one was stronger than him. He was quiet, composed, and could appear cold, but Gawain sometimes saw him smile with his friends.

"Come this way." Halsted ordered him, "Clear the way."

Sir Halsted's voice wasn't loud, but it was imposing. The soldiers that were in front of them moved and allowed them through. Halsted walked quickly, taking long strides towards their destination. The destination was the largest tent in camp, where meetings were held. Two gaurds stood outside to make sure that no one could just wander inside.

"Let us through." Sir Halsted spoke.

The men, recognizing them both, let them inside.

"Go on." The Dragon Knight pointed to where Arthur stood with other nobles and knights, seemingly discussing strategy.

Gawain approached, making his presence known. He could hear some whispers.

"He's Sir Terran's..."

"Lady Morgan's son..."

As he looked around the room, he was surprised to find his mother.

"Gawain, why are you here..." she looked scared upon seeing him, but before she could finish what she wanted to say, she was cut off by the king of knights.

"Where is Sir Terran." Arthur's brows were furrowed, a serious look already on his face, "Was the mission a failure?"

"No, your grace, the mission was a success. We successfully hunted the beasts, but on our way back, we were ambushed by Goremund Godsgrief." The young squire explained, "Sir Terran defeated him in single combat. In return for sparing his life, Lord Goremund informed Sir Terran about a threat to your life. I was ordered to relay this information to you."

"A threat to me? What kind of threat? By who?" The king asked question after question.

"Sir Terran mentioned the black knight."

The room fell silent. Gawain knew very little about him, only that he was a dangerous man.

"Gawain." Morgan called out calmly, though the look in her eyes was anything but, "Where is Sir Terran."
