𝗂 𝖽𝗈𝗇'𝗍 𝗍𝗁𝗂𝗇𝗄 𝗂𝗍'𝗌 𝗀𝗈𝗂𝗇𝗀 𝗍𝗈 𝖻𝖾 𝗍𝗁𝖺𝗍 𝗌𝗐𝖾𝖾𝗍 ❫When the two arrive in Seoul, Oscar stays in Haeun's apartment.
Oscar stays in the guest room, and meets Haeun's cat, Byeol, who takes a liking to him. "Byeol likes you quite a bit," Haeun chuckles, as Oscar plays with the ginger cat.
"That's good." Oscar replies.
He notices how Haeun hasn't taken the bracelet off, even days after he had given it to her. Something about the action makes a smile unconsciously make its way onto his lips, his chest blooming with warmth.
"Do you have anything to do before the wedding? Like, help your sister out?" he asks, and Haeun shakes her head no. "She's pretty adamant on doing everything herself and the wedding planners. She wants it to be a surprise for the family and friends." she replies.
"Do you want to go somewhere? I can take you around the city." she asks.
It would be nice to see the place that Haeun grew up in.
"Yeah, that would be fun. Is there anywhere you want to go in particular?" he asks.
Haeun shakes her head, chuckling. "I live here, Oscar. I'll just take you to the popular touristy places, maybe. We can go to Myeongdong later at night, and we can get some street food. Is there anything you want to buy here, or something?"
"Maybe I should get some souvenirs for my family," he hums. "I haven't been here before, and neither have they."
"We can go look around." Haeun says, and Oscar nods.
So, the two find themselves on the train, heading to Hongdae. Her hand is in hers, something the two consider as usual, now. Oscar notices that there are a lot of couples here.
It just hits him right then and there that people here think that they're together, too. Really, the realisation of this should've hit him a lot earlier - but the thought of that makes him feel... good. It's strange. All these feelings that he's been feeling lately, are strange.
When they get off at Hongik Station, Oscar simply lets Haeun take him anywhere. The two walk past tons of small shops, and the streets of Hongdae is filled with people. He doesn't think that he's seen anything like it - he walks beside Haeun, eyes wide with wonder.
"It's cool, isn't it?" she asks, noticing the look on his face. "It is. There's so many things here, I don't know where to look."
"There is a lot of things to do in Hongdae. Mostly shopping, and since you wanted souvenirs, I figured this would be a good place. And there's lots of good food here, as well." she chuckles. "Look at that store. It's selling an ice cream that's 32cm tall."
Oscar's eyes widen, as he sees someone hold the ice cream. It's very tall, and Oscar's afraid that it'll topple over and fall onto the floor. "I don't think I can eat that alone."
"I'll eat it with you, if you want to try it. It's pretty good, and it's not expensive."
He shrugs. It's the summer break, he's never been to Seoul - so he might as well, right?
"Chocolate?" she asks, remembering that he likes the flavour. He nods, and Haeun smiles. "Alright. I'll get it in a cup - it's less tall, but it's less likely to fall over. I came here with Nabi before, and she got it in a cone - dropped it less than 2 seconds later."
She walks back with an excited grin on her face, holding the ice cream and 2 spoons. "Here!" she says, handing one spoon to Oscar. "You take the first bite."
Oscar eats a spoonful of the ice cream. It's not too sweet, but it's got the right amount of chocolate flavour. "Good?" she asks, taking a spoonful of the ice cream herself.
"Really good," he says, going in for more. "It's kinda big, though."
"We'll finish it together. We can walk around and eat it at the same time."
Haeun shows Oscar more of the Hongdae shopping street, with him buying some jewellery for his siblings, Haeun helping him pick them out.
To everyone else walking on the same street as them, Haeun and Oscar look incredibly in love with one another. "You've got a little bit of ice cream there," she says, pointing to the side of Oscar's lip.
"Where?" he asks, and Haeun chuckles. She takes one of the napkins that she's holding, and wipes the ice cream off his lips. "All gone." she says.
The action makes Oscar's heart flutter.
Perhaps he really is catching feelings. Being around Haeun, being with Haeun, is comfortable. Things are easy, and falling in love is supposed to be easy, is it not? As if it was the most natural thing in the world.
When she smiles at him once more, that fluttering feeling in his chest returns.
Maybe just for today, Oscar decides that he'll forget about rule number 3.
