"YUNAH-YAH-!! Time to wake up, sweetheart-!!" shouted the middle-aged mum, busy whipping up breakfast at the kitchen counter, trying to rouse her sleepy daughter.

Meanwhile, the girl with long, tangled black hair jolted from her dreams back to reality. She sat up in bed, her heart racing as she scanned her tiny room. With a disappointed roll of her eyes, she flopped back down, staring at the ceiling. A heavy sigh escaped her lips as she realized her chaotic life was still the same and probably always would be.

Same bed, same room, same house, same old life. All she ever wanted was a bit of excitement, just like her mates. She daydreamed of skipping school to hang out with friends all day, of having a secret boyfriend, and experiencing the ups and downs that came with being a teenager.

Her life felt painfully ordinary—wake up, hit school, then back home. No pals, no secret crushes, no drama or thrills. Deep down, she knew her life was as dull as dishwater. She longed for wild adventures like the other teens, crazy escapades and real-life problems that she'd chuckle about when she was older. They always said high school was where the fun starts, but why didn't anyone mention it ends just as quickly? With only three months left until graduation, she felt like she hadn't even scratched the surface of fun yet.

She craved memories that she'd look back on fondly one day, but it felt like the universe was against her, just as she was against her life. Maybe she was lucky, or maybe not, but she always found a way to dodge every issue that came her way.

"YAH-! ROH YUNAH, GET YOUR ASS UP NOW, YOU'RE GONNA MISS SCHOOL___!!!?" Yunah glanced at the door as her mom burst in, fork still in hand, and went off on her.

With a dramatic sigh, she closed her eyes, then opened them again, grinning at her mom. "Eomma__!, It's Friday, no school today!" Her mom's furious expression morphed into one of confusion and surprise.

"Ohh__!!, Right, my bad! Go on, catch some more Zs if you want," her mom said with a smile, turning to leave.

"Nah, ughh, I'm off for a morning walk," Yunah replied with another sigh as she threw off her covers and caught her mom's attention, striding toward her.

"What morning walk? It's pouring out!" her mom asked, puzzled, and Yunah shot a glance at the window, a big smile spreading across her face when she saw the rain.

"Perfect, a rainy morning walk it is!" Yunah chirped back, all excited.

"Where are you off to anyway?" her mom inquired.

"I'm gonna grab some snacks and maybe ice cream, then head over to Moka's place," Yunah beamed.

"Why on earth would you eat ice cream in winter? Are you out of your mind?" her mom asked, half-scolding.

"Ice cream's way better in winter," Yunah winked, and her mom just rolled her eyes.

"Alright, do your thing," her mom nodded, heading back to the kitchen while Yunah made her way to the bathroom.

Jarhyun strolled downstairs and sauntered into the living room, spotting his little bro sprawled out on the floor, glued to his video games. "YAH___!" Jaehyun called out, trying to catch his brother's attention. His brother shot him a quick glance before diving right back into the TV.
