Why Now?

Before the two coworkers walked into their jobs, they were talking about the most random stuff, but they were mostly talking about the Kelpy G record. Who knew that SpongeBob likes his music for a long time, and he considered it calming because of his  ̶c̶h̶i̶l̶d̶h̶o̶o̶d̶ bad experiences but when he finds the cassette of "The Blue Sparkling Sea" he gets a calm feeling, a feeling of safety. But as they came through the door, Squidward finally thought about it.... He's going to confess to him

-at the Krusty Krab-

After an hour of nothing happening at work after the angry mob of customers who didn't get their food, everything was calm, 10 customers was chatting about whatever happened in life, and not another person walked into the door since people have a life. Squidward thought it was a good time to finally confess to his co-worker. "I might not know how to confess or flirt, but I'll give it my best." Squidward muttered to himself as he was walking into the kitchen. When he entered the kitchen, SpongeBob was still making Krabby Patties despite there being no orders to make them. While SpongeBob was busy making the patties, Squidward was thinking long and hard about what he should do.
Should he flirt until he gets that he loves him, or should he just go for it?

The cephalopod had decided on what to do; he wants to just go for it and hope he says yes to his confession to be his boyfriend.

But while Squidward was thinking, there was a line of customers waiting for Squidward to ask them what they want to order.
"Hey... HEY, EXCUSE ME SIR!" a customer shouted at him while the cashier was deep in his thoughts. "huh? OH sorry!"Squidward apologizes after that he took all of their orders and handed them to the frycook.
But, on one of the orders he wrote a little note asking him if he can talk to him for a second when they go on break.
SpongeBob slips a note back accepting the request.

-1 hour later...-
It was break time, after that long hour of taking useless orders.
They meet up at the cash register where they can both discuss whatever Squidward wants SpongeBob for.
"So Squiddy, what do you want to talk about with me" SpongeBob asked with a smile on his face.
Squidward proceeds to take a deep breath, and think about how he's gonna confess to his crush who is annoying but nice to everyone.
"SpongeBob.." Squidward exhaled as he put his tentacles on the porifera's hands. "We've known each other for a very long time, and sure my actions to you were bad and came off as really rude." "But, it was because I was super upset about everything and decided to take it out on you. But, I've always loved you..."Squidward said, then he sighed.

"SpongeBob, will you be mine?" Squidward finished. He finally told his bottled up feelings towards his love interest.
He felt very happy inside.
But, it won't last for even a minute, because Squidward started to notice that SpongeBob was crying. Initially, he thought he was crying out of joy about the fact that his crush finally told him how he felt about him.
But unfortunately, that wasn't the case because SpongeBob was having a PTSD attack.
"Sponge?" Squidward asked as SpongeBob starts sweating for no reason.
SpongeBob took a step back like he wanted to run back home.
SpongeBob started to hyperventilate to the point he lose air. People inside the restaurant started to notice the attack and grew concerned, confused, and afraid.
Squidward had no idea what to do at this point.
Suddenly, SpongeBob blacks out. "SPONGEBOB!" Squidward screamed, he grabbed the phone and dialed 911 to get him help.

R: 911, what's your emergency?
ST: My co-worker just fainted!
R: Sir, calm down. Where did this incident occur?
ST:The Krusty Krab!
R: alright, we're sending ambulances your way sir.
ST: THANK YOU!

Squidward stayed on the line as the ambulance was on their way to transport SpongeBob to the hospital to see what's wrong.
Squidward is just hoping that his co-worker will not die.

(Holy crap, sorry it's been months since I last posted a chapter but I'm kinda back now :D Also, I did some research for this chapter too. Feel free to give me some tips)
