(A/N: HOLY SHIT I'm so sorry for the delay I didnt want to write bc I felt like shit, I'm so sorry guys 😭)

As I walked into the house, I was greeted with an open, soft orange-y colored room. There was a large, gray L-shaped sofa in the corner of the room, with about 4-5 pillows of assorted colors. A huge TV sat on the other side of the room, on the wall, with a coffee table right in between the two objects. As I inhaled, the scent of pumpkin spice and cotton hit me like a truck. But I didn't mind. It smelled nice. I walked around, inspecting each room individually.

I loved the house. Despite seeming small from the outside, the interior was massive. With a smile, I walked into the kitchen to make some lunch. I picked up a pan, and cooked [insert your favorite meal here]. I set [insert food] on a plate, and sat down to eat. I glanced up from my food, a strange feeling washing over me. It felt like I was being watched. Like I was in some sort of trance, I guess? It was tough to explain.

I sighed softly, looking around. It was unnerving. I hated it. Shrugging it away, I finished my food and left the house and decided to go and visit Howdy. Wandering around, I soon realized. I had no clue where Howdy's shop was. Looking around, I saw Wally, who was chatting with Julie. They seemed to be heading to Howdy's as well. Without making a sound, I hesitantly began following them.

"Hello Neighbor." Wally's monotone voice shocked me, a chill running through my body. He didn't even look at me, and yet he knew I was here! God, that's kinda creepy... I chuckled nervously. "O-Oh, uh.. h-.. hey, wally!" I stuttered, clearly disturbed. Julie turned around, and a wide smile spread across her face, as her expression became visibly more excited.

"OHMYGOSH, HII!!!" she then gasped dramatically. "You must be the new neighbor!! I'm Julie Joyful, it's so nice to meet you!!!" She took my hand, and shook it, very excitedly. I paused slightly, a tad dizzy. "Oh, ha, I-I'm Y/N... Nice to meet you, Julie..!" Wally just smiled, his strict, nightmare-inducing stare switching between me and Julie. "Ah, I assume you two are getting along well. Ha. Ha. Ha."

Julie giggled warmly, and I glanced between the two, before laughing, very nervously. I didn't understand what was so funny, but I decided to join in anyways. Wally scared me, and there was no way that I was going to ever get on his nerves. Ever. "Anyways, Neighbor, Julie and I were just on our way to Howdy's shop. Did you need anything?" Wally asked, as I snapped back to reality, and nodded. "Uh, yeah, actually.. I needed to get some food for dinner tonight, hah."

Wally nodded, and Julie started bouncing up and down. She was excited about something. "OH WAIT!! Actually, uh! Hold that thought!!!" She paused, thinking. "What if, Wally, What if we threw like a WELCOME PARTY!!! So, like, we can gather each neighbor together, a-and play games, and make a huge dinner, and then our newest neighbor will get to be introduced to everyone!!!!"

Wally thought about it. "Hmm. It doesn't sound too bad in my opinion. I'm okay with that. We just need to-" Julie then hugged Wally tightly, and Wally went limp. I giggled, remembering about how Wally didn't know how to respond to hugs all too well. But c'mon, you can't deny he looked adorable.

"EEEE, thank you,, thank you thank you SO MUCH WALLY!! I can already tell this will be SO MUCH FUN!! :D YAYY!" I smiled softly, glad to see everyone so happy. But.. something threw me off. I couldnt put my finger on it, but there was definitely something going on behind the scenes. "Anyways, uhm.. Shall we get going?" I asked politely, not wanting to come off as pushy or impatient. "OH YEAHHH, I completely forgot! Let's get going, Neighbor!!" Julie grabbed my hand and started dragging me to Howdy's store. Wally followed not far behind.

Eventually we reached Howdy's store. Wally walked up to the doors and knocked politely, making sure that Howdy was here. "Come on in!" I heard Howdy call out, and the doors were opened, as we were greeted with a kind, smiling Howdy. I waved, and Howdy looked a little shocked. "Ah, who are you, lil' fella?" Howdy gently lifted me up to his eye level, so he could get a better look at me.

"My name is Y/N!" I said, as Howdy set me back down. "Oh, alrighty then! The name's Howdy, Howdy Pillar!" I nodded, and Howdy let the three of us in, and he walked behind the counter. Wally and Julie stayed together, as Julie rambled on and on about the welcoming party for me. Meanwhile, I walked off to the food section. Strangely enough, there was an entire section of... just apples.

I tilted my head in confusion, but shrugged it off, as I grabbed my items and walked to the counter. I set them down, then remembered. You had to pay with some sort of joke in order to get your items here! There was no known currency here, at least, not to my knowledge. I thought for a second, before coming up with a horrible dad joke. I wasn't sure if Howdy would like it, but it was my best shot.

"An apple a day keeps the doctor away..."

I paused, for effect.

"...At least it does if you throw it hard enough!"

I smiled anxiously. Howdy stared for a second, as if to say 'what is wrong with you', but then he burst out laughing. "Oh, wow, Neighbor- That was hilarious! Here's your stuff, kiddo. Have a nice day!" He waved, as the three of us left. I waved goodbye to Julie, in whom waved back. Wally blew me a kiss, and waved as well. I walked back home, and collapsed onto the couch. It was strange. I was exausted. I sighed.

Standing up, I walked into the kitchen, and marked my calender. Julie said it was supposed to be tomorrow, right? Yeah, tomorrow. I wrote down "welcome party" on the calender. I smiled, and turned to the sack of items I had just embarrassed myself for. I made a simple dinner, and headed upstairs to the bedroom.

It was wide, very open and clean. It smelled of freshly washed laundry, y'know, that distinct linen smell you'd get punched with at a laundromat. There was a massive bed, it wasn't made but it also wasn't messy. There was a huge wardrobe, along with a nice bay window, with a couple pillows. The floor was completely carpeted, as the ceiling fan light was currently shut off.

But fear not, as there were fairy lights hung all around the top corners of the room, giving it a faint, yet soothing lighting. There was a wall-to-ceiling mirror, and a vanity off to the side. I smiled softly, looking at the various posters of [insert favorite movie/game] lining the walls. I changed into my pajamas- which were very soft and fluffy- and I laid down, my eyelids growing heavy, as I drifted off to sleep.
