Bridget's POV
I've been staring way too long.
Not at a person but an obnoxious syllabus in my hands.
First page. Flip. Second page. Flip. Third page. Flip. Fourth page. Flip. And yes...yet another page. The tiny text covering every square inch of this paper is going to give me a massive headache by the time I leave this class. The professor left a while ago leaving us with this unbearably lengthy syllabus. I shove it in my bag and walk out of the room.
I walk towards the lockers. "Oh hey, Bridget". I turned around to face the person who greeted me. "Oh hey Jeremy, how have you been?"
"I am fine and by the way did you hear about..."
I heard him blabbering something but my mind was still occupied by the study materials and the syllabus. How am I supposed to cover the entire syllabus in a month?
"Isn't that amazing?" He asked smiling ear to ear. I feel guilty for not knowing what he's talking about. " Yeah...of course" I replied.
We keep the book in the locker and take out the books needed. "We both have psychology right now and I think Atlas and Layla have it too. let's go together." I ask. "Hmm fine with me." He uttered.
Psychology was one of my favourite subjects. I've always been intrigued by human behaviour and their mental processes with understanding the relationships we form, self-improvement or battling addictions.
We stepped inside our psychology 1OA class and saw Altas.
"Hey guys, come sit here, I saved y'all a seat." I saw Atlas waving at us. He's a total sweetheart with alluring wavy hair, a humorous persona and of course, his surfing skills...it's nothing to joke about.
"Atlas my man...what's up?" Jeremy ran up to him and did their long-ass handshake. It's cool, to be honest. "Hey, Jeremy...how did your vacation go...?pretty boring without me I suppose?"
"Of course dude...missed y'all so bad...?" Jeremy cried. "you were gone for only a week bro!" I snapped at him rolling my eyes. "Whatever" Atlas spat.
They act so much like an old married couple that I doubt one would even believe that Atlas has a girlfriend.yeah, he has a girlfriend, Layla who happens to be my best friend. Speaking of her...she was supposed to return yesterday from her mini vacation to Malibu and I was expecting to see her here today.
"Hey Atlas, where is Layla...? Haven't seen her since morning!" I asked. "Oh right...she rang me up earlier. She has a bad flu so she won't make it today," he said. "That's a bummer!" I replied melancholy.
"Alright everyone My name is Prof. Miguel Vermont and I'm a substitute for Mr Kincaid. I'll be teaching y'all psychology. As y'all may know the syllabus is quite lengthy and it's the last semester so without wasting any time let's start our study. Open your books to page 13. Chp self and personality. So what do you..."
(If you wonder how the professor looks 🤭)
The professor came and started the lecture a while ago. I was taking notes when I saw a boy sneaking in through the door when the professor wasn't looking. When he came a little closer I realised he was Blaine. He slowly came and sat next to me.
"damn, that was a close one." He whispered. "I know. Where's Jake...?" I asked. "Except biology, we don't have any lectures with him together."
"That's sad," I said. "By the way, I saw everyone's schedule and this month is gonna be a hell of a ride.
So I was wondering if we all could take a break and go for a surf trip or something next month after the tests." Blaine suggested.
"A surf trip?"<3
