A/N: Hello everyone it's been a little minute, here is a new story for you guys. I hope you enjoy it. Let me know if you want me to continue.
Lauren's POV
"Looking good, your mobility seems to be coming back. You're progressing at a more rapid rate than I expected with your injury. So we're just going to keep doing what we have and you should regain full mobility in your shoulder in no time." I said to my patient after our session.
"I knew that I made a great choice when I chose you to be my PT, you came highly recommended." The patients said.
I smiled that was really nice of her to say.
"Thank you Ms. Miller but I'm just giving you the best care I know how." I replied, helping her off the table.
"Seriously, after the car accident I never thought my shoulder would be the same but you have made a world of difference, thank you." She says sweetly.
"It's my pleasure seriously. So we are going to slightly adjust your treatment since you're doing so well, we can be a little more aggressive to see how much you can handle. I believe that you will have no problem." I said.
She made a face, I believe she was a little frighten by the "aggressive" part.
I gave her a reassuring smile. "There is nothing to be afraid of, I will not push you farther than you're willing to go. It's all about what you are comfortable with, okay?"
"Okay, I trust you." She says.
"Perfect, now I will see you next week. Until then keep up the at home exercises, but remember not to overdo it. This is a process and we don't want to rush it, that can do more harm than good." I told her with the same smile on my face. "Just see the receptionist to schedule your next session."
"I will see you next week Lauren." She gathers her things and left my office.
She was my last client of the day and just like clockwork the PTA walked in.
"The day is over finally." She say dramatically.
I laughed. "Yes it is, and it's Friday so that's a plus."
"Exactly."
"You have plans this weekend?" I asked.
I nod. "Yes, lot's and lot's of plans." She says, vaguely.
I didn't question it.
"What about you, have any plans?" She reiterated.
"Just hanging with my kid." I said.
"You have Micah this weekend?" She asked.
"Yes, Leti."
"I thought this wasn't your weekend." She says.
I shrugged. "It's not, something came up I guess."
I really didn't want to get into it because I would get mad all over again.
"I get to spend extra time with my daughter, so I'm excited. It just sucks having to be the one to tell her that her dad isn't getting her this weekend." I shared.
"Yeah that does suck, but I'm sure she will forget about all that when she's having the time of her life with you." She say.
I give her a smile. "Right. Now I must be off to go and get her." I went over to my desk and put a hand on the stack of files there. "Here are my files, my note and everything is in there. Just update them on the computer and you are free to go." I told her.
"Okay, sounds good."
"Thank you Leti, for everything that you do and you have a fantastic weekend. I will see you bright and early on Monday." I told her.
