Chapter Three

Camila's POV

I woke up and a smile immediately appeared on my face as memories of last night started to flood my mind. That was one of the best nights of my life.

I rolled over in the bed and seen that Lauren was no longer in the bed with me. I looked at the clock and it was 7:30am, I got up because I needed to check on my daughter. We were in a different place and I didn't want her to freak out when she woke up.

Lauren was kind enough to lend me some clothes after we took a shower and they smelled just like her.

I left the bedroom and I went to Mikey's bedroom to check on Lacey. When I got to the room the door was open and the girls weren't in the bed.

I had a little internal freak out because I didn't know where my daughter was and despite what Lauren and I did last night she was still a perfect stranger.

I started towards the front of the house where the kitchen was and I could hear laughter.

I knew my daughters laughter anywhere, I gravitated towards the sound and that lead me to the living room. Lauren was on the couch my daughter and her daughter sat on either side of her.

There was something playing on the TV and they were all laughing at it. I watched for a moment, my daughter looked so comfortable with them.

I looked at Lauren too, that woman is sensational. Looking at her right now I felt my heart racing. I have never been in love or head-over-heels for someone but holy shit I could see it happening with her. I'm never one to just jump into bed with someone, let alone someone I only met a couple of hours prior.

I finally decided to let my presents be known and I walked over to the couch.

"Mama!" Lacey says with excitement.

She gets off of the couch and runs up to me and I picked her up and placed a kiss on her head.

"Good morning you little goober. How did you sleep?" I asked.

"I slept all night long, Mikey has a comfy bed." She shared.

I gave her a smile and I took a seat next to Lauren on the couch and I put my daughter on my lap. I looked at Lauren who was smiling at me and I of course smiled back because her smile was very contagious.

"Good morning." I said.

"Good morning." She replied.

I looked over at Mikey who was look at me, I gave her a smile.

"Good morning pretty girl." I said.

She smiles shyly and cuddled against her mom. "Good morning."

"Mama, Lauren ordered breakfast because she says she has nothing to eat except ice-cream. I told her we could have ice-cream for breakfast but she said that it wasn't a good idea." Lacey shared.

"I think Lauren made a good call." I said to my little girl giving her a little tickle and she giggles.

I looked back over to Lauren. "Breakfast is really nice, but I'm sure Lace and I have overstayed our welcome." I said.

She smirks at me. "I'll let you know when you overstayed your welcome."

My god she was so sexy and I just really wanted to kiss her.

"Okay." I smiled.

The doorbell rang.

"That would be breakfast." Lauren say getting up from the couch.

Lauren left to go answer the door and I was left with the girls.

"Are you really a firefighter?" Mikey asked.
