Lauren's POV

Several weeks have passed since Camila and I had that discussion about the pace of our relationship. Things have been going amazing since then and our relationship has been progressing nicely.

When Camila wasn't on a shift we were together, I did miss her when she worked but it just was all the sweeter when we were back together again. We eventually decided that we wanted to make our relationship official, Camila is now my girlfriend. Camila and I only wanted each other so there is no reason we shouldn't be official.

We were growing closer and closer as the days pass. The kids have been growing closer as well, the girls loved each other. Mikey and Lacey talked on the phone when Lacey was at her grandparents. The two of them can talk on the phone for hours, it was hard for me to get them off the phone.

My weekends have been tied up as of late and I haven't seen my parents. That was changing this weekend though. Mikey had her first ever piano recital and I was so excited and nervous for her. My parents wouldn't miss this for the world and Mikey was adamant about Camila and Lacey coming. She didn't understand that it meant introducing the woman I'm seeing to my parents.

We'll just see how this goes.

"Look at this one Mikey, its so pretty." I said holding up a dress to show her.

Mikey and I we're out shopping for a dress for her recital.

"I really like that one." She says with a smile.

"Let's go try it on baby-girl." I said.

Mike and I go to the dressing room area. Mikey told me that she was a big girl and didn't need my help with the dress so I stood right outside the room.

While she was in there I just let my mind wander to Camila and a smile instantly appeared on my face. This is the happiest I've been in a long time, my daughter was also happy and that meant everything to me.

"Excuse me, Lauren."

I was pulled from my thoughts, I was definitely confused by who was calling me. I was shocked to see that it was the woman that Jackson was with the day he abandoned my daughter. She was really pregnant and she had a stroller that contained a toddler that was barely two.

"I'm sorry but I just seen you over here and I was hoping that I could talk to you for a moment." She says.

I don't know what she wanted to talk to me for.

"This isn't a good time." I told her.

"Just really quickly please, it'll only take a--"

"Mommy, I have the dress on." The door to the dressing room opened up revealing my beautiful daughter.

"Baby-girl you look so beautiful, I think it's perfect. Do you like it?" I asked her.

She gives me a big smile. "I love it!" She says with excitement.

"Perfect, we will get it. Go ahead and change then we'll go and get something to eat." I told her.

Mikey goes back into the dressing room and closes the door behind her. I looked over at the woman and was happy that Mikey didn't see her.

"Be quick." I told her.

"I just need to know why you don't let Jackson see his daughter." She voiced.

This woman literally had the audacity.

"How can you witness what happened between Jackson and my daughter then turn around and ask me that question?" I countered.
