I was enraged when i got to Abeni's apartment and still didn't meet her for the forth time in two days " where the hell did she go?" I scowled at my men and they bowed their heads in shame.
"There's no point in leaving you both here if you won't do your jobs." I pinched the bridge of my nose as i fought the urge to put a bullet in between their eyes.
"Find her." They nodded in uniform and left the room.
I had gotten Intel from one of my spies that Moreno had known about my meetings with her. I wasn't surprised and i knew that would happen sooner or later but what i didn't expect her was for her to be adamant on her rejection towards my advances. I was Esteban Belmonte, women never said No to me until her.
I glanced at the envelope i had given her and I picked it up to check the contents and became cognizant of that fact that the money and cheque were still intact.
"She's so stubborn." I chuckled as i sat on her bed.
I grew impatient as i waited for hours and i called my men to know where the fuck they were.
"Where is she, why haven't you brought her." I bawled
"Erm sir, we just got more Intel that she was last seen on her way back from a friend's house."
"Fuck...why wasn't i informed earlier, you better bring her back unscathed Matt or there's gonna be trouble."
"Yes sir."
I hung up the phone and threw it on the bed. I glanced at my watch, it was 3:38 am. I hoped she was safe. I pulled out a cigar from my pocket and lit it.
I took out to puff and stared out her window. I couldn't sleep and i was willing to not leave this room till she got back or i found her.
I dropped my cigar on her table by the window man's observed how quiet it looked out side.
My thoughts were interrupted by a loud bang on her door but then i heard her voice. "Fuck." She yelled. I clenched my teeth while gazing outside the window, I was suppressing my anger. I heard her coming in the room and she turned on the light.
"Where have you been" I growled as i turned to face her. My anger immediately suppressed as my eyes landed on hers. She was battered and her face was swollen. Even with her dark skin the purple and blue bruises on her face were still very evident. A gun and knife slipped from her hands as she staggered a bit and in a split second she was falling.
I ran to catch her so she wouldn't get more wounds by the fall.
I knew who had done this to her and i would kill him for this but how did she come back alive. Moreno never let's any Belmonte spies or suspects he gets on his turf live. He probably underestimated her and she slipped out of his fingers. "I will hunt them down." I whispered into her ears. I gazed at her swollen face and busted lips. My eyes saw red and i wanted them to pay with blood for touching my beloved. I picked her limp body and took her to my car.
I called my men. "Boss we just had more intel that she was taken by Moreno, we're on our way to the address, it's not far from her apartment." I gripped the steering, I wanted to bawl at them but I kept my cool.
"Bring the doctor to the carbin Now."
"Yes boss" they answered without questions.I watched from the CCTV as she hit the door of the room i locked her in.
She was acting hysterical after she woke from her sleep. The doctor had confirmed that she had an internal bleeding and had to be on bed rest for 2 weeks at least.
This woman woke up 3 days later from her coma and wanted to leave right away. She created such a fuss that the doctor had to keep her sedated. He advised me not to go near her for a while in order not to rile her up. When ever she saw me she would flinch or scream like a mental patient.
Don't get me wrong I liked it. Better to get a reaction from her whenever she saw me than for me to get no reaction at all.
I missed her greatly, she was only two doors away from me and it felt as though she was miles away. I had decided to keep my distance and give her time to heal like the doctor had advised.
I hadn't gone near her door in 1 week and it drove me mad.
So I used up most of my day watch her sleep, eat, cry, talk to her self, scream and pray.
I got offended whenever she prayed I want her to call only my name when ever she needed or wanted anything. I was jealous of her God, she turned it him at her lowest moments I wanted it to be my name she called whenever she was at her lowest.
