Chapter Two, hope you like it!✌

"Bolt!"

I felt tears in my eyes, and I grabbed the tissue box off of my side table, taking one and wiping away the tears.

"You came back!" Penny said, smiling. Bolt ran towards her, grinning. But he stopped at the edge of the shadows as he watched another dog run into Penny's arms.

I wiped away another tear.

"I thought I lost you."

Penny pet the dog on the head.

"You're my good boy."

Bolt dropped Mr. Carrot Head, walking away sadly.

This. Movie. Always. Makes. Me. Cry. No matter what.

"AND THE TEARS STREAM, DOWN MY FACE!" The boys screamed from downstairs. They had the music blasting, thinking they were alone. "IF WE ONLY HAD THIS LIFE FOR ONE MORE DAY, YOU KNOW I'LL SAY..."

They continued screaming Moments, while I sat in my room, crying because Bolt thinks he was replaced and that it all was fake. If only he had stayed behind to see how heartbroken Penny was that he was still gone.

''''''

Bolt whimpered, curling up beside Penny. Shit don't cry Charlotte, don't you dare cry.

And what do I do? Burst into tears.

Bolt looked up, staring at the vent. He barked weakly, then hearing it echo, then let out a louder bark. Penny didn't move.

Bolt got up slowly, his legs trembling under his weight. He put one paw forward, one paw back, before letting out a super bark. The firefighter told everyone to be quiet so he could listen. Bolt let out another bark before collapsing to the ground, passing out.

I wrapped my hands around my mug of hot chocolate, sitting cross legged on my bed. I had my iphone plugged into my iHome, playing Cher Lloyd's Superhero. I was on my laptop, looking at Christmas presents for mum. It was early November, so Christmas was coming up soon and I needed to go out and buy what I wanted to give my family. And add onto Niall's bracelet. Each year, for every birthday and christmas, I put a charm on his bracelet. So far it has a mini guitar, microphone, four leaf clover, heart with the Irish flag colors on it, a mug of hot chocolate, a pink bow, and a football (soccer ball) The guitar, microphone, clover and heart are easy to understand, and the mug of hot chocolate was for all those snow days when we made hot chocolate together. The bow was for when I had my first day of first grade, and I was wearing a cute black polka dot dress, and Niall had got me a pink bow to go with it. The football was for the times Niall would bring me to the park and play football with me.

I sighed. I would do anything to go back to that.

'''''

I woke up on the fourth day at one in the morning with a massive headache. What I needed was a cup of tea, that's what mum would always make me, but at one in the morning? Out of the question. Yesterday, the boys were on a full day tour of Ireland... they would be fully asleep, wouldn't they? Yeah, they would. I could go downstairs and make some tea before they woke up. I'd be quick.

I snuck down the stairs to the attic door, listening through the door for any sound. Silent.

I pushed open the door, which glided open with out a sound. I stepped out into the hallway, creeping across the wooden floors.

I tiptoed down the stairs, and into the living room. A few more seconds and I was in the dark kitchen. I brought the kettle over to the sink, filling it silently with water. Then I put it on the stove, turning on the burner. I relaxed, leaning up against the counter, watching the kettle. I should get Niall a snowflake charm this Christmas, I heard that all the fans call Niall their special snowflake. Or maybe I should get him a clownfish charm, he loved Finding Nemo, we both cried at the end. Or maybe a charm that has mine, Greg's and Niall's birthstone on it.

Footsteps interrupted my train of thought. I looked around, scared, then immediately ducked down as I saw the outline of a person.

The figure lumbered over to the cabinets, pulling out a box. The person shut the cabinet, then walked over to the stove. They stopped when they saw the red hot burner, the water already starting to heat up.

"What?" The figure asked sleepily, reaching out stupidly to touch the burner, then pulling back quickly as I heard a small sizzle.

"Fuck, that hurt." The person growled, caressing the burnt finger. I had to bite my tongue to keep from laughing at their stupidness. I learned, from day one of kitchen safety, don't touch the stove when it's on. It's a little obvious, actually.

"Why the hell is the stove on?" The person grumbled. They looked around suspiciously, then stared back at the stove. "Niall? Maura?"

I pushed back a little bit, trying to avoid being seen. The cabinet door gave out a little creak. Uh oh.

The person froze, then slowly looked down to meet my terrified eyes.

The boy opened his mouth to scream when I jumped up and put my hands over his mouth.

"Please, I beg you, don't scream." I pleaded, and the boy nodded. I sighed, taking my hands away from his face.

"Why are you in Niall's kitchen? Are you a crazed fan that broke in or a homeless person or what? Did Niall kidnap you and you're being held captive? Are you escaping?"

"No, and I can't tell you." I whispered slowly.

"Who are you? Why is a teenage girl in the kitchen at one in the morning?"

"I could ask the same for you. What are you doing in the kitchen?" I asked softly.

"Couldn't sleep, i need a cup of tea. You?"

"Massive headache. I usually have tea to make it go away."

"So your the one who was boiling the water?" The boy smirked. I nodded.

"Why can't you tell me who you are?"

"It's too complicated, I'm supposed to be a secret." I mumbled.

"... a secret?"

"I really can't tell you."

"I promise I won't tell anyone."

"I really can't say anything, I'm not even supposed to be in the kitchen."

"Please?"

"I really have to go."

"But I want to at least know your name!"

"I can't tell you even that."

"You really are secretive, like telling me would kill you."

"Well, it would crush me."

"How so?"

"I can't tell you, remember?"

"Will I ever see you again, in the kitchen, scaring me?"

"Depends on how much you listen to me. You can't say a word about this, okay? You never saw me, I was never here. Got it?"

"I promise not to tell anyone I met a strange girl in Niall's kitchen at one in the morning that can't tell me her name." The boy promised. I let out a sigh of relief.

"Do you still want tea?"

"Please."

The boy made me a mug of tea, and he went back upstairs at one thirty, falling back asleep. I waited a couple of minutes before creeping back upstairs into the attic. I slipped back into my bed, laying there, unable to sleep.

I'm screwed if anyone ever finds out that one of the boys, I couldn't see his face clear enough to tell who, knows that I exist. Screwed.

Wow. This REALLY sucked. Things wrong?
