"Wait so you got all dressed up and then went to the club just for them to not let you in? That's crazy!?" Eden said while chuckling to the other three friends, as they were discussing what activities they did while on summer break.
They were in a cute cozy coffee shop in their local town of Greeley, Colorado.
Aunt Helen's coffee shop was filled with laughter as the 4 girls reacted to Ahava's first club experience. "That's what you get for trying to get in a club underage" Serene joins in while laughing in between her words.
"What about you Zephyr, you've been pretty quiet?" Serene asks genuinely. "My summer break wasn't anything special, I didn't do much out of my routine," Zephyr says. "You've had to have done something new during your summer break." Serene says while the other 2 girls chime in.
*FLASHBACK*
[Zephyr's POV]
"Just because you believe in your 'sky daddy' doesn't mean we have to Zephyr!?" my mom, Raven, replied. "I am not trying to force you guys to believe in God, I'm trying to warn you guys about what is to come, Mom."
Me and my mom pause as we hear keys rattling from outside of the door. "Here we go again..." Said Terrence, Zephyr's dad with annoyance under his breath, as he closes and locks the door.
"Oh please, what is there to come? Let me guess, Revelations of the end times?! I already know what you're about to say. I've been down that road before but nothing has ever happened or come, it's just a waste of time. I'm not going to stop you from believing in God but don't try to drag us into your pit. It's a waste of effort."
*FLASHBACK ENDED*

"Nope, nothing new. Same routine, different day." Zephyr says plainly. "Oh." Ahava says. As the girls were drinking their coffee and having a good time talking to one another, they heard the door chime along with a warm breeze of air.
Oak Raine, a boy with black hair and soulless eyes, and vintage attire, walked into the coffee shop. The girls glanced back to see who had just entered the shop, then turned back around to continue their discussion.
"I can't believe we're about to be seniors!" Eden exclaims optimistically with an undertone of nervousness. "Yeah, It's very exciting and nerve-racking to think about." Serene states. "I feel like we just started high school yesterday, everything is going by too fast." Ahava replies.
"Do you guys think we'll all have at least one class together?" Eden asks. "We should. If we don't, this school year is going to be very boring. Almost every year we've had at least one class together, hopefully, it will be the same this year." Zephyr states.
"I don't want a class with yall." Ahava laughs. "Right." Eden says sarcastically while laughing. Serene chimes in "That was a horrible joke."
As they continue their conversation, the cafe begins to quiet down, then they hear a shout from Oak who walked in earlier, "Thank you again for your help, see you Monday afternoon!" He says exiting the shop.
*1 HOUR LATER*
"Alright guys, it's getting late my mom wants me to be home by 6 pm." Ahava says, they all agree while gathering their things and start to migrate outside. "See you guys on Monday!" Serene says while walking to her car.
