Detective Birbeck: A detective hired by the imperial family to find the twins. When he is dismissed by the emperor, Alec hires him to find his missing poisons book.

Frieda Oliveira: Marcus' wife. She loves children and was the one who convinced Marcus to take in the twins and give them jobs. She's flamboyant and bold and treats the twins like her own.

Georgiana Morgha: The daughter of Duchess Yvette Morgha. Lloyd has been secretly courting her for a year without her mother's knowledge.

Jamila: A former maid at Derolina Castle who took care of the twins and taught them how to read. When Rurahel found out Jamila was kind to the twins, she fired Jamila and kicked her out of the castle. She is so far only mentioned in the story.

Keoneli Enniskalis: One of the four queens of Isteris, and Zemerri's grandmother. She is stern but protective of Zemerri.

Luther Oliveira: Grandson to Marcus and Frieda, and a friend to the twins, Arjen in particular. He is 19 and studying to get into a college for commoners called Eshlin College. Arien has a crush on him, and there's a chance he is interested in her, too.

Marcus Oliveira: Owner of the bookshop "Famous Last Words" and dealer in rare books. He is a friend to the twins and allows them to live and work at his shop. His background is murky, but he occasionally uses powerful magic, which leads Arien to believe he might be a mage. His wife is Frieda.

Maynard Lest: An anthropologist and academic professor who was recruited by the emperor to teach Eiji about the culture of Isteris. He lived in Isteris for a while and studied their culture. He returned to the country after receiving a message that his life might be in danger.

Mona Valk: Daughter of a merchant and a friend of the twins, Arien in particular. She is 18 and protective of Arien.

Mr. Baum: Current leader of the anti-emperor faction with a mysterious past. He works in partnership with Duchess Yvette Morgha, but he makes it clear that he is the real leader of the operation.

Raphael Faust: A former servant from the imperial palace who was sent to Ribanach Prison for trying to kill Eiji when Eiji was an infant. It is implied that he might in involved with the anti-emperor faction.

Raul Andrus: Captain of the imperial knights. He led the first search for the twins not long after they escaped from Derolina Castle.

Yvette Morgha: A duchess and distant relative of the Yuriana imperial family, and quite proud of it until recently. She is dissatisfied with the fact that the emperor has illegitimate children, and that Eiji is going to marry a foreign princess. She is working with the anti-emperor faction to remove the imperial family. She loves her daughter, Georgiana, more than anything, and desperately misses her deceased husband, Bertram.

Zemerri Enniskalis: A princess from the country of Isteris and granddaughter of Queen Keoneli. She is a prospective bride for Eiji in an arranged marriage and is 21 years old.

Countess Tannen: Only appeared in a few chapters of the manhwa as a background character. She is known for spreading discontent for the imperial family among the nobles.

Duke Rossah: Also called "Duke Rosea" in the fan translations. He wants to become emperor once the imperial family is removed, but Duchess Morgha despises him and is determined to keep him from the throne. He is so far only mentioned in the story.

Lior: Also called "Riolu" in the fan translations. He is working with the anti-emperor faction mostly because he has no other options in life, but he has sympathy for the twins.
