Leonardo's POV

Leo walked out of his room, holding his pack. The turtle sighs and turns jumping as Yuichi suddenly was there. "Ready Leonardo?" Leo nods "You can just call me Leo" Yuichi smiles "oh ok Leo well fallow me!"

Yuichi popped open the man hole cover and looked around. "We're clear" Yuichi breached the suffice and grabs Leo's hand pulling him up. "Thanks" Yuichi smiled "I have no problem helping you Leo" there was a sudden loud sound that shook the ground "Come on quickly" Yuichi beckoned the turtle. The red slider nodded and fallowed the write rabbit down an alleyway "You gonna take me to Wonderland?~" Leo teased but it came out more flirty than intended. Yuichi looks at him confused "No to the abandoned grocery store,but I guess a place full of food you can eat is a land of wonder." Leo chuckled "That's not what I meant but good answer"

Yuichi ran down the alley and jumped over a chain link fence "Whoa I don't know if I can jump that high" Leo says looking up the tall fence. "No need Leo allow me" Yuichi grabbed his katana slicing a fisher in the fence before pilling it open. "After you, my ledge" Leo blushed a little "Thank you" Leo told him with a little bow before laughing causing Yuichi to laugh alongside him "Come on Yuichi let's go"

The boys track through some ruins tell they reach a large parking lot. "This used to be a grocery store" Leo said with a somber tone as Yuichi turned around "Oh I didn't have those where I came from" Leo smiled "They weren't anything special if anything it's far less boring this way" Leo laughs making Yuichi smile "Yeah...I always found the market boring...but, I'd give anything for one more trip with mom" Yuichi said in a tranquil sorrow voice. Leo nodded he missed his dad even if his dad would never forgive him "Yeah" Leo responded in a shallow, empty reply.

The boys walked into the decapitated store. "We don't know what could be living here,so be careful" Leo nods as he fallows the rabbit trough the store. "It's mostly canned goods all the fresh produce is already gone or just went bad" Yuichi told the red slider. Yuichi's eyes dart away from Leo "So, the purple one doesn't seem to like me" Leo thinks a moment "Donnie?" The young man nods "Yeah just seems like...I don't know, forget it" Leo smiled "No it's fine Donnie pushes people away, I'm surprised we don't all do it" Yuichi looked at him a little confused "We all have been hurt, we lost people, family so Donnie finds it easier to not get close" Yuichi frowns then nods. Yuichi didn't really respond to that comment, the atmosphere was engulfed in a warm, comfortable silence. The boys kept packing cans and other packaged foods in their bags when a loud noise echoed out. "Leo hide now" Yuichi said in a harsh whisper as he pulls him behind a shelf. "What is it Yuichi?" Leo asked. "Scavengers" was the quick blunt reply Leo got. "Aren’t we also scavengers?" Yuichi nods "Yeah but you never want to bump into another scavenger" Yuichi told the turtle as he tried to sneak out. The two boys slowly began to walk out. Soon, an arrow flied past cutting Yuichi cheek. "Shit! Leo run!"

Yuichi's POV

The boys start to run to the doors as arrows fly past them. Another arrow catches Leo's backpack and pins him to the ground "LEO!" Yuichi yells as he scurts to a stop as he runs to the turtle. "I WILL NOT LET YOU DIE!" The rabbit screamed as he jumped to his feet pulling out the arrow and runs to the danger. Yuichi used his blade to knock arrows out the air as he runs to the scavenger. Yuichi jumps as the scavenger raised his bow as Yuichi's katana comes down, cutting it in half. Yuichi quickly slits his troat spurting blood on the ivory rabbit and his blue gi. Yuichi let out a deep sigh and relaxed his intense poster and shakes his head as he pulls out a handkerchief and begins to wipe his blade. "That was amazing Yuichi!" Yuichi looks down "Yeah" Leo smiles and holds Yuichi's free hand "What's wrong?" Yuichi looks at his katana "I hate we live in a world where I have to soil my blade with the blood of an innocent" Leo was confused but rubs his thumb over Yuichi's knuckles "What do you mean" Yuichi sighs "He was a survivor like us he was just trying to survive" Leo looked upset or conflicted before a smirk broke trough. "Yeah it sucks but we can't let that drag us down! People need us people depend on us, and we must survive for those we lost and those who couldn't" Yuichi was stuned and the strength a resolve of the turtle he's grown fond of. Yuichi's body seemed to move on it own as he pulled Leo into a kiss. Leo closed his eyes and leaned into the kiss a little. The kiss lasted a few seconds before the broke apart "S-sorry!" Yuichi said clearly flustered "No it's okay Chi just next time maybe clean off the blood first" Yuichi's face goes pink "Oh gods I completely forgot!" Leo laughed finding the whole thing cute even if Yuichi was extremely embarrassed "Let's head back Chi" Leo said as he finally calmed down and began to walk back "Chi huh? I kinda like it"

Sorry for the long break guys but I had a little bit of a block but I'm really happy how this one turned out
