"Ember, I need to talk to you about something important." I sit side by side with her.
"Sure, Wade. What's on your mind?"
"It's just... I feel stuck. Stuck in this love for you that I can't seem to shake off."
Ember be surprised. "Love? I had no idea, Wade."
"I know it's complicated. You're with someone else, and I don't want to ruin what we have."
"Wade, you're one of the few good things in my life. You've always been there for me, and I value your friendship more than anything."
I say sighing. "That's just it, Ember. I don't want to be just friends anymore. I want something more with you."
"Wade, I care about you deeply, but I'm with someone else. I can't just leave him for you."
I was with heartbroken. "I understand. I just needed to get that off my chest. You mean so much to me, Ember. Losing you would be like losing the only good thing in my life."
"You won't lose me, Wade. We'll always be friends, and who knows what the future holds? Just remember that you deserve happiness too.
Wade smiling weakly." "Thanks, Ember. You always know what to say."
