Ember and Wade sat in a cozy corner of their favorite coffee shop, the soft murmur of voices providing a comforting backdrop to their conversation. Ember's usually bright eyes were tinged with a hint of sadness, and Wade couldn't shake the feeling that something was weighing heavily on her mind.

"Ember, I've noticed that things have been tough with your fire boyfriend lately." Wade began gently, his voice filled with genuine concern. "You deserve so much better than what you're getting."

Ember sighed, her fingers tracing patterns on the tabletop. "I know, but it's complicated." she replied, her voice tinged with resignation.

Wade leaned in, his expression earnest. "It doesn't have to be. You deserve to be with someone who treats you with the love and respect you truly deserve. I can treat you better than he does, Ember. I've always cared about you, and I hate seeing you hurt like this."

Ember met Wade's unwavering gaze, her heart feeling conflicted as she processed his heartfelt words. "Wade, you're an amazing friend, but I don't want to complicate things between us, you are a water element and I'm a fire one, we don't mix." she confessed softly.

"I understand." Wade said, his tone filled with understanding. "But I want you to know that I'll always be here for you, Ember. You deserve happiness, and I'll do whatever it takes to show you that you deserve to be treated better." As their conversation continued, Ember found herself grappling with her emotions, torn between the familiarity of her current relationship and the genuine care and concern Wade had shown her.
