Do you have dreams?
Go ahead, and look forward to see who you want to be.
Nothing could be stopping you as long as you believe.
But, fear rises up and blinds what you see.
Constrained, ensnared and imprisoned in a dark place.
Crying to yourself, not sure if you'll be saved.
Paralyzed and frozen, genuinely afraid.
Shaking in the cold, will you see another day?
Too scared to try something new.
Too scared to know what you have to do.
Too scared to raise your arms and fight.
Too scared to shine like a light.
But, know that there are some things more important than fear.
Know that, when these things arrive, the time to decide will be near.
Understand, there is no shame in being afraid.
But, it is unwise to allow that fear to control you.
So, raise your head high and look to the road that lies ahead.
The darkest storm has not come to stay, but to pass.
Stand tall, and rise against the fears that damage.
Walk forward, knowing that inside lies a heart of courage.
