Blue Dragon

Chaptr 1

"Hold him still, hold him. Quick quick he's gonna have a seizure, hold him down"

My name is Ryu, or that's the name I gave myself at least. I don't remember much of my life before I was 3, i just know I'm 'weird' and was sold on the black market for that, a group of illegal scientists bought me to study me and 'use' me but I don't know the reason.

I was locked in cell and was tied with chains and cuffs, the scientists take me out of the room whenever they want and they do horrible stuff to me. They use sharp shiny sticks to cut my skin and they sometimes rip off my scales, or other times, like today, they inject me with colourful liquids and make me swallow capsule like stones.

Of course I hate it and it hurts like crazy but I got used to it over the years, there isn't anything i can do about it anyway.

There are rules I have to follow like always obeying the orders others give me, if I don't I'll get beaten and won't get my daily piece of bread, if I try to run away I will get electrocuted and if I try hurting anyone they use the shiny stick to carve a line on th back of my hand.

Right now they'r injecting my with some weird stuff, and I can feel it burning through my veins and the lab light is blinding me, I can't see what's going on. The scientists are walking around frantically as I feel my body burning up, then everything goes black.

I open my eyes to see the boss from outside the cell door, his stare burning holes through me then I get to my senses and start kneeling, my body is still burning and I can feel the liquid still circulating in my veins. As I hear the boss walking away I lift my head up and try standing up but fall back down when a sharp pain in my leg reveals itself, I look at it and sure enough a big black bruise was there, it covered most of my thigh and it was swelling, I quickly grabbed a dirty cloth from the ground and wrapped it tightly around the bruise hoping it would help prevent swelling.

I held onto the wall and staggered trying to stand up, i headed to the cracked mirror above the sink, I looked at myself, I was about 14 years old I think, my eyes were bright and my pupils were vertical slits, my body had areas covered in dark blue scales and I had 2 horns on my head (if you ignore the part that is cut off), my ears are longer the the scientist's and pointier. Maybe that's why they call me a monster and freak.

Sometimes I wish I wasn't born so I didn't have to live in this hell.

Then I noticed something different, the veins next to the scars on my left shoulder was showing and they were glowing with light blue light, I quickly covered it with my torn up vest as best as I could before the scientists could see it.

I was worried that if they saw it they would do something like cut me open or something.

I heard footsteps and quickly sat down in my initial position, were they going to take me again?

A group of scientists entered my cell along with the boss, he was holding a box and I knew exactly what it was. The scientists came closer to me an I pressed myself against the wall, I didn't want them to touch me.

One of the scientists put a cuffs on my arms and legs to hold me still, I moved frantically trying to take them off trying to escape but I knew it was impossible I was just gonna get electrocuted, the boss opened the box, he took out a shiny stick larger then the ones in the lab, he walked towards me and tore off my dirty vest, he touched the blade with his finger and smiled when he saw tears about to fall from my eyes

"are you going to cry like a little baby now? You know no one is going to save you so why waste your tears, it's not like anyone cares"

he said those harsh words and they hit me hard but I was used to it, and he was right, no matter how much I screamed no one would come for me. The tears in my eyes crawled down my cheeks and turned into crystals who hit the ground with a 'clank'.

The boss's hand was moving closer to me holding the the shiny stick and then I felt it's cold material touch my skin

"AGHHHH! AHHHHH! AHHGGG!"

I screamed for what seemed like ages as the blade cut through my ribs, then finally the boss pulled the knife out me, the tears rushed down and crystals hit the ground along with the large amount of blood pouring down my body.

One of the scientists pulled out a test tube and put it near my cut filling it with MY blood
"you take care of him now" said the boss while pulling off his gloves and collecting the crystals from the ground then he smiled

"see you next month".

Alas this was my monthly punishment since I came here and I couldn't do anything about it, the scientist doctor pulled out a piece of cloth and threw it at me while the other one untied me, I clenched my stomach and fell on the ground crying in agony, I pressed the cloth on my wound thinking at least they didn't notice my glowing veins on my shoulder, I closed my eyes for a couple minutes trying to ignore the pain from the fresh wound, then I looked at it, it was deep and it was going to scar just like the other ones.

A couple hours later the boss rushed in my cell with some other scientists, I was confused, but he said "You think I didn't notice" pointing at my shoulder. I shuddered, no this wasn't possible, the doctors tied me and dragged be to a new room, one I had never seen before it had a tank full of liquid who's color I couldn't quite describe, the doctors threw me in from the top and closed it, I couldn't breathe from inside I banged my fists on the glass and screamed but it was useless. The liquid invaded my lungs as I choked on it,

was I really going to die?

Suddenly I felt a rush of energy I felt the glowing thing expanding through my veins the doctors outside looked terrified and so did the boss, I felt as if electricity was zapping every cell in my body, my canine teeth became larger and sharper and I could see the reflection of my eyes glowing. What was going on?

It didn't hurt like the electricity I got as punishment, it felt like water, quickly caressing my skin, it felt natural.

Suddenly the electrical surge I felt inside of me burst out, the water in my lungs was pushed out and blue lightning surrounded me they burst through the top of the tank making a hole in the roof, and finally after years of being stuck underground I could see the sky, it looked like the electricity was going to make a hole in that as well, my arms were growing blue scales and claws that a slashed against the tank glass.

The boss was frozen in fear and the doctors backed away, then one of them pulled some type of gun from his pocket and shot some syringe at me then everything went blank.
