Chapter 1
Cassidy's pov
"Cass we're leaving now. Come say goodbye to everyone", said my dad. My brother,dad, and stepmother were leaving to go to my brothers school to see his teacher. They were leaving me with my grandfather at his house because I was only 9 years old.
20 minutes later
My grandfather got a call from the hospital saying that my father,stepmother,and brother were all killed while walking back to the car.
Then I heard a knock at the door and my grandfather went to answer it, then I heard three shots and after that it was quiet and I heard footsteps walk outside over to where I was sitting and the man said "Hello Cassidy".
I turned around startled and found myself looking up at a man with a gun.
" My name is James. I am the one who killed your parents, your brother, and your grandfather. Now I 'm gonna kill you.",he said while shooting me in the leg.
I screamed in pain.
' And now time to end your life", he said. Then he pointed the gun to my head.
" Wait', I said. " Why do you have to kill me now? Can't you kill me later?"
His answer was cocking the gun at me.
That was all I remembered before I blacked out from the pain.
