Alice's pov
While everyone was in Cassidy's room I had a vision. The family was going to get a visit from the Denali Coven in a hour.
"Everyone come downstairs for a moment please", I called.
"Alice, why are they coming here?", Edward whined seeing the vision in my head.
"Edward, be nice", Esme scolded. "I know you don't like Tanya but, they're family".
Then Cassidy walking down the stairs asked "Who are the Denali's?"
Edward sighed and said "Why are you out of bed Cassidy, you should be resting your foot".
"I heard your voice, I mean everyones voices, she said while blushing.
"Any way who are the Denali's?"
"Well squirt, the Denali's are family and Edward is Tanya's lover," said Emmett.
"EMMETT", everybody yelled.
"Okay, I'll be in my room," Cassidy said with tears in her eyes.
"I'l come with you Cass," I said shooting Emmett a glare.
Cassidy's pov
I laid down on my bed trying not to think about what Emmett just said.
"Hey," Alice said softly standing by the door. "Can I come in?"
I wipe the tears out of my eyes and nodded.
"Cassidy, please don't believe what Emmett said. Edward is not Tanya's lover," she said.
Just a minute after she said that she froze and I knew that she was havng a vision so, I let my sheild down and saw...me. I was in a white dress with buttons down the back and waiting for me was Edward in a black suit.
"Alice, is that really going to happen with Edward and I?" I asked her.
"H-how did you see that," she said.
Quickly I told her what I was and my talents were. Then the doorbell rang.
"We're done for now but, we will talk later," Alice said.
Then we walked down the stairs to greet our guests.
Edward's pov
I can't believe Emmett said that about me and Tanya. He knows that I hate Tanya more than I hate him. Alice came downstairs with Cassidy not far behind her. My bad mood faded away when I saw her.
She walked over to where I was sitting and said "I'm sorry that I overreacted a while ago".
I pulled her into my lap and told her that it was okay and never believe anything that Emmett says.
She blushed as my lips touched her cheek. The doorbell rang and she shrank into me while Carlisle went to answer it.
"What if they don't like me," Cassidy asked me.
I just kissed her forhead and pressed my ear to her heart.
"Hello Carmen,Eleazar,Tanya,Kate, and Irina," Carlisle greeted them.
I put Cassidy beside me with Rose on the other side of her, like we were shielding her from danger that was coming.She grabbed my hand and I rubbed soothing circles on her hand.
"Hello Edward,Rose,Alice,Esme. How are you today?" she asked us.
"Oh, and who do we have here?" she asked peering around me looking at Cassidy.
"Hello Carmen. I'm Cassidy", she said looking timidly at Carmen.
Before Carmen could say anything Tanya came into the room yelling "Eddie"!
She paused when she saw me and came to sit next to me while looking at Carmen, who was still gazing at Cassidy.
"I don't like to be called Eddie, Tanya," I told her for like the hundredth time. Still she acted like I didn't say anything.
"Eddie, let's go for a walk," Tanya whined.
"He said, he dosen't like to be called Eddie,"Cassidy said sternly.
I smiled and looked at her while Tanya was trying to find out who said that to her. I leaned over and kissed her cheek while she blushed and Tanya gasped.
"Really Edward,a human. You like her better than me? Why, she's nothing compared to me," she scoffed.
I looked over at Cassidy and saw tears streaming down her face.
"Tanya", Carmen scolded. "You've made the child cry. Come here nino," she said her arms reaching for Cassidy.
Carmen sat her back in her lap and they murmured back and forth in Spanish.
"Tanya, if you can't act nicely then you will have to leave," Rose told her.
Tanya huffed while looking at me and I sighed, this was going to be a long week.
Carmen's pov
After comforting Cassidy, Esme told her to come help her fix her lunch. She hopped out of my lap and walked into the kitchen with me following close behind.
"So, Cassidy", I said. "What do you like to do around here?"
She told me that she liked to draw and read books that Jasper gave her to read. I grabbed pencil and paper, and asked her to draw me something. She looked around the kitchen and started to draw then, she froze, flipped the page over and drew something else.
"Come on nino, show me what you have drawn", I said.
The first picture was of her and Alice trying on clothes and the second one was her and Edward getting married when she was older.
I gasped,"Nino, this is wonderful". She looked away and blushed.
"Cass," Esme said. "Lunch is ready."
I walked back into the living room to find everyone sitting down.
"What's that in your hand Carmen," Eleazar asked me but, I looked at Edward and asked him if he would come with me for a moment.
"What's wrong Carmen," Edward asked me.
"Edward did you know that Cassidy could draw?", I asked him as I showed him the two pictures that she drew.
"No, I didn't know that she could draw," he said looking shocked at the pictures. He looked at the last one with a loving look in his eyes. I really hope this will happen someday.
Tanya's pov
That Cassidy. She is hogging Edward and Carmen all of the time. They even seem to like her more than me. She's human. Carmen pulled Edward aside and showed him two drawings.He seemed happy about the last one where he married her. I swear that I will get Edward to spend time with me no matter that it takes, even if it means that I have to make Cassidy disappear.
