Part of me is scared to write poetry.
The power of words can weigh me down.
Words.
Such simple things.
Strung together until they have meaning,
Power.
I am scared of words.
Keep my mouth taped shut,
Cross my heart,
Hope to die,
You won't hear the words my heart cries.
Because if I don't speak my thoughts,
My fears,
They can't linger in the air for me to choke on,
For others to see.
I can swallow my problems and keep them in the dark,
And pretend they're not real.

Old Poetry and Prose
PoetryThis is very old, mostly unedited writing from several years ago. I had uploaded these on a different account but then I deleted all of it. I am posting them again here.
