"YEON! be back by eleven!!" haechan's voice rang in her ears as she grabbed her wallet and phone, and shoved it in her hoodie pocket
"and call me when you reach the lamppost, i'll pick you up. call me!" he started nagging like some old granny
"yes hyuck! i'll call you" and if haeyeon didn't reply him, he'll go on about getting kidnapped off the streets and being robbed in broad night light...
"did you take the pepper spray— "
"pepper spray.. yes i did. alright!! bye hyuck, i'll call you!" she repeated once again, slipping on her sneakers before walking out the door
"hey princess.. you look cute"
jaemin had his back against the gate. haeyeon waddled up to him and dived into his arms
"mm thanks.. did you wait long?" she said, looking up at him as he kissed her on her forehead. "not long, i just arrived a few minutes ago.."
pushing away from him, she held his hands
"yah... your hands are so cold... and you still said you didn't wait long..." haeyeon pouted at her boyfriend
"i'd wait for you no matter how long princess" jaemin flashed her his toothy grin as she frowned
"noooo let me warm them up for you..." she said, guiding his hands into her hoodie pocket as she placed her hands inside as well
"is that warm enough for you?" haeyeon tilted her head to the side and he nodded in response
"thank you"
haeyeon looked up at him, "is that all i get to thank me?" she pouted her lips
he chuckled to himself as he swiftly placed a kiss on her lips
in protective mode, haechan carried on as he walked out to the gate to where jaemin was waiting
"YAH! LEE HAEYEON"
haeyeon and jaemin immediately pushed away from each other and they stood there awkwardly, their backs facing each other
"YOU DIDN'T BRING YOUR ALARM BUTTON" haechan stormed out, stretching out the little gadget on his palm
haeyeon turned around, "hyuck, you are going to wake the entire neighbourhood... everyone is going to know my name"
he shrugged his shoulders, "everyone already knows your name. whatever, better be safe than sorry"
"what's up hyuck" the two guys did their friendship handshake
"take care of her for me" haechan patted jaemin on the back as the latter reassured him. "make sure she doesn't buy anything else from the list"
"most definitely hyuck, i'll bring her back in one piece to your doorstep"
