Marina's P.O.V:

I was getting ready for the ball wondering how Draco had done with the decorating. I was worried he had ruined it, I'd never seen him decorate anything. I take a deep breath and focus on getting ready.

I slip into my dress which is blood red. It's tight up to the waist and then it flares out. The top has one shoulder strap that goes left to right. The waist has a lot of golden sequences on it that spread out as they go higher and lower, the same style is on my shoulder strap.

I'm wearing the same coloured heels with a flowery design in gold. My makeup is light and mostly natural, my lips are a light red and my cheeks more rosy than usual. My hair was in a bun that looked like a flower and there was a bit of my hair framing my face. I curled the hair framing my face.

I move onto jewellery, I put on the ruby earrings. I reach for my emerald necklace that Draco got before I stop. I'd lost it during the battle and hadn't been able to find it. I sigh. I'd loved that necklace, especially since it was a gift from Draco. I try to find a necklace that would fit with it but I find nothing.

I give up when I hear the knock on my room door. My date, Draco, was here. I sigh and go and open the door. I hear him take a sharp intake of breath and I blush as he looks at me. "You look exquisite." He whispers, taking my hand. He pulls me closer and presses his lips to my forehead. I had warned him beforehand that he was not to kiss me and ruin my makeup. I mumble out a thanks when he lets me go. "I have a gift for you." He says in a teasing tone. I raise my eyebrows as he pulls out a small box.

He opens it to reveal a necklace, my necklace. I gasp. "Where did you find it?" I ask, picking it up, the emerald was a bit chipped but otherwise it was great.

"I found it last week and decided I could surprise you." He says as he takes it from hands. He chucks the box in the bin in my room before he turns me around. He slips the necklace around my neck. "I love you." He whispers next to my ear. It sends a chill down my spine. I turn around in his arms.

"I love you too." I whisper back. I don't know why we're whispering but it feels like if we talk any louder we'll break whatever this moment is. He raises his hand and tucks my hair behind my ear. He cups my cheek before he starts pulling me towards him. His eyes are still on mine as his lips meet my cheek. He grins at me.

"Let's go." He says. I take a deep breath to calm my racing heart. I'm suddenly tempted to shove Draco down the stairs. I glare at him and finally take in his attire.

He's dressed in a black tux and a green tie, the Easter ball dress regulations were that you had to be dressed in your house colours and if you were wearing a tux it had to be black. I ignore his clothes and I finally take in his hair. He hadn't gelled it back, when it wasn't gelled you could see the soft waves in his hair. I don't know why he gells his hair. He looks hotter with it not gelled. My glare softens and he smiles at me. He offers me his arm and I hoop mine through his.

We walk over to the great hall and when we enter I lose my breath. There are no candles and the stars are bright tonight. The floor has been enchanted to light up in different bright colours, which I soon realise are the house colours. There are tables spread around and in the middle of the room is a fountain with melted chocolate, there are strawberries, churros and other things on the rim which you can dip in. There are ornamental bunnies everywhere and some plastic eggs are hanging from the walls.

I turn to Draco who seems to be waiting for my reaction. "This- This is amazing!" I squeal excitedly. He laughs and pulls me into the room. We find our friends petty soon. Luna is the first to spot us and wave us over. "Hey guys!!" I say. Everyone calls out their hello before we start a conversation. We've all been hanging out more which has inspired other Gryffindors and Slytherins to hang out too. House unity has never been better according to professor McGonagall.

After a while Draco drags me out onto the dance floor for a slow dance. His hands land on my hips and I wrap my arms around his neck as we sway to the music. "This is really amazing. I can't believe you did all this on your own! I know you have magic and everything but the whole idea is great as well. I would never have thought to add the lights on the floor and the fountain!" I say smiling.

"I'm glad you like it. Though I'm starting to regret the lighting cause now I can't see you properly." He pouts and I laugh and blush while looking away. When I look back Draco's features have softened and he's staring at me like I'm the only girl in the room. I blush again.

"You're really cheesy today..." I say still blushing and looking anywhere but at him. He brings his hand up and holds my chin with his thumb and index finger as he makes me look at him.

"I still can't believe that you're here, that you want to be with me. After everything, to be honest I never thought anyone would care for me, especially not you, yet here you are in my arms, telling me you love me. I can't imagine anything better than this." He tells me, if we weren't surrounded by people and I could actually open my mouth I would have proposed to him right here right now. "I love you more than anything or anyone in the world." He whispers. I think my hearts gonna explode.

Right then Blaise shows up. "You're going to kill her, please stop, she can't even filter her thoughts." He says looking annoyed. "I'm trying to dance with my girlfriend." He snaps before walking off. Draco turns to me and raises an eyebrow. I don't think I've ever blushed this much in my life. I lean forward and bury my head against his neck. Suddenly he starts laughing. I smack his chest.

"Do I wanna know what you were thinking?" He asks, trying to stifle more laughter. I shake my head. He raises an eyebrow. "I mean if you want to get me in bed-" I smack both hands against his mouth. I change my mind, I haven't blushed this much before.

"God- Just shut up! It wasn't like that!" I say, looking around to make sure no one heard. He nips at my hand and I pull away glaring at him. He pulls me into his arms again and laughs. I roll my eyes.

"I love you."

"I love you too, you dork."
