Y/n and the 1st infantry platoon are all sitting in the tent as Daniels start to read a letter his wife sent him a few days ago. "If it's over, we're here for you, pal." Zussman says patting his shoulder. Stiles shrugs, "I tried to warn ya." Aiello is resting in Y/N's Arms he lifts his head up and turns to Stiles. Who is fixing his camera. "College, let the man speak."Daniels sighs. "She's pregnant.." all of them laugh and cheer. Zussman pats Daniels on his back holding a cup of coffee. "Whoa! Hey, that's huge!" Aiello sits up as he grins, "All right! Daniels is gonna be a daddy!" Zussman scoffs as he rolls his eyes at Aiello, "If I'm being honest, I'm shocked Y/N isn't pregnant from all that 'lovey dovey' shit they do all the time." Stiles and Daniels laugh, Aiello blushes, slightly embarrassed. Y/N did not find the joke funny.
Zussman's smile fades as he notices Y/N is not happy, he clears his throat before saying. "All right. I could use another cup of Joe. Daniels, Stiles, let's give 'em some space." Zussman walks out of the tent and Daniels follows. Stiles frowns. "But I don't want coffee." Zussman turns around to Stiles. As he peaks his head back in the tent. "Sure you do."
Stiles sighed and reluctantly follows Zussman out of the tent, his brows furrows in annoyance at Zussman's request. Aiello looks over at Y/N with a nervous smile as the others left the tent to give them some privacy. He was glad for the quiet moment to speak with her, but he suddenly felt a bit embarrassed that she had heard Zussman's comment about them being lovey doves. Y/N was also a little embarrassed but put on a smile for Aiello. She knew he would appreciate any extra time they could have together.
Y/N and Aiello were alone in the tent now, and Aiello looked over at Y/N with a soft, nervous smile. He was embarrassed that Zussman had called them lovey doves and that Y/N had heard his comment, but he was also grateful to have her all to himself for a moment. Y/N returned Aiello's smile and settled into his arms, enjoying the peace and quiet of the tent away from the chaos of war. They both knew they wouldn't have much time to themselves from here on out, so they cherished this small moment together.
