Aiello and Daniels sip their drinks as they discuss their recent experiences. Aiello smiles as he starts to talk about the girl he loves, while Daniels listens intently.
"So tell me about this girl you love. How did you two meet?"
He asks, Aiello nods as he takes another sip of his beer.
"We met back in Queens, but I never would have guessed I'd meet someone like her. She's so beautiful and wonderful and strong, yet so fragile at the the same time. I'm so happy to be with her and feel like I can face anything, even the horror of war."
Daniels smiles,
"That's amazing. What else makes her so special to you?"
Aiello sighs as he gives Daniels a small smile as he thinks about this girl,
"Her imperfections. You see, I adore everything about her, her name, her hair, her smile, but I especially love those 'flaws' that she might consider imperfections. I don't mean to sound cliche when I say that they make her even more beautiful, yet they're what make her so unique and so perfect in my eyes." Aiello shakes his head,
"Sorry I must be talking too much." He chuckles.
Daniels laughs along,
"Not at all. It's clear you appreciate her, and I'm happy for you. You deserve someone special, and you've found it."
Aiello smiles,
"Yeah, I guess I really did. It's just crazy. A year ago, I never would've guessed I'd meet someone like her. And to think of all we've been through, from the war to our relationship, I can't even process it all. But she's been by my side through it all. We've made it this far, so who knows what's next."
Aiello's smile widens,
"Her looks, her personality, just..everything about her just drives me crazy, if i ever died, and reincarnated, I would never fall in love unless I found her..she's my soulmate...I know it."
Daniels chuckles,
"Do you think you could ever fall in love again? You know, if something happened to this relationship?"
Aiello frowns,
"I won't even think about it. She's everything to me. Everything. I love her, I'm happy with her, and I'm sure she loves me. There's no point wasting time thinking about a world without her. But what about you? Have you met anyone like that?"
Daniels nods, as he takes a sip of his drink, "Hazel." He says, he smiles as he looks down at his drink, he's clearly thinking about his girl.
Aiello smiles,
"She sounds lovely." He raises his drink in a small toast, "to you and your love, Daniels." Daniels laughs.
Aiello frowns.
"I miss her..I don't care how long it takes, Daniels, as long as I'm with her..I'll have a smile on my face..I just want her to be here with me.."
Daniels smiles at Aiello as he pats him on his back, "You're just lovesick, buddy." He says smiling at Aiello.
They both smile at each other as they continue to talk and drink away their problems at the pub table.
