Sasuke's POV

I walked towards the door and rang the doorbell. After a few minutes, the door opened and a maid bowed to me.

"Your mother is this way Uchiha-sama," she said and I followed after her, with Juugo right behind me. We walked upstairs towards the balcony. There we found my mother sipping tea and reading a book.

I walked through the double glass doors and my mother looked up. She smiled putting her book down and getting up.

"OOh my baby boy, how are you honey?," She asked hugging me tight, I smiled.

"I'm fine mother," I said patting her small back.

"Come on, sit down," she said as gestures towards the chair before her. I set down facing her.

"Could you bring us tea and biscuits please Mina?," My mother asked and the maid smiled bowing.

"Right away Mikoto-sama," she said walking away quickly. My mother looked at me and smiled.

"So how have you been Sasuke, it's been a month since I last saw you. Look at you, you've grown taller and more handsome," she said with a smile. I chuckled.

"It's been only a month mother, it's not that long," I said and she laughed waving her hand.

"Don't be silly Sasuke, so anyways how are things where you live, I'm sure it's hectic running so many clubs across the country," my mother said and the maid puts the tray of biscuits and tea on the table.

"Yeah, it can get a little hectic but I can handle everything. And things are fine, nothing to worry about," I said taking my tea and sipped on it. No sugar, just how I like it.

"Really, that's very good then. How's that girlfriend of yours. What was her name again? Something Haruno?," she asked with a frown snapping her manicured fingers. I chuckled at my mother. You just gotta love Mikoto Uchiha.

"It's Sakura Haruno and we are fine mom. We've had little arguments here and there but we quickly solve our problems," I said and she nodded taking a biscuit.

"That's nice honey as long as you make time for her. You don't want her to grow tired of waiting around for you to spend time with her," she said and I sighed.

"I'll make time for her when I do actually get a day off but right now, my first priority is work," I said and she nodded.

"Yeah well work is important too in so some ways. But, what about you and what about your partner, what about both of your happiness. Work and money is not everything Sasuke. Anyway let's just not talk about that right now. I've called you out here to tell you something, I've already told Itachi," she said and I nodded.

"Okay, what is it?," I asked leaning against my seat.

"I'm going to organise a Gala Ball and I want you to be there. That means no working on that day," she said strictly and I nodded slowly.

"But why are you organising a Gala Ball mom?," I asked confused, she laughed softly taking her tea.

"I'm organizing it because it's going to be my husband's and I's anniversary and I want to do something extravagant. I'm going to invite all my business associates and I'm sure Fugaku is going to invite his. It's going to be amazing and I want my two boys and their partners to be there," she said with a smile.

"Wow, then you are going to be busy young lady," I said sipping on my tea and she giggled.

"You don't know the half of it, it's going to be amazing. So are you going to come?," She asked with a smile.

"Of course mom, you know I would do anything for you," I said with a smile and she clapped her hands excitedly, it was an un-Uchiha like thing to do but she knows she can be free around me.

"That's great," she said with a bright smile.

"Where is father by the way?," I asked and my mother rolled her eyes eating another biscuit.

"You know him, he close himself in his study and works all day. He doesn't have time for his wife anymore," she said with a shrug, I frowned.

"Then, why are you organising this big Gala?," I asked and she sighed.

"I just want us to get a chance to be together again and just have fun as a family. I miss those days when we were all together and just having fun. He used to be so loving and free around me, now he's so uptight and works all day. The man doesn't even know that his getting old," my mother said shaking her head. I chuckled. But I can see where she's coming from.

"Okay mother, don't worry. I won't disappoint you," I said with a genuine smile.

"I know you won't Sasuke," she said with a loving motherly smile.

"I'm sorry to interrupt, good afternoon Mrs Uchiha," Juugo said greeting my mother and she nodded waving her hand.

"Boss, we need to leave it's urgent," Juugo said, his face maybe calm but I know it's really urgent. I nodded getting up. I looked at my mother again. She also got up.

"Mom, it was nice seeing you again," I said taking her into my arms.

"Yes, it was nice catching up. Don't be a stranger now," she said holding me tightly.

"I won't mom, I promise. I'll call you once I get home," I said and she nodded against my shoulder.

"I love you son," she said and I smiled against her dark hair.

"I love you too Mom," I said and we pulled away. We waved at each other as I walked away. We walked out the Uchiha mansion and towards the car.

"Okay Juugo, what is it?," I asked.

"Kakashi called, apparently someone has been stealing money from one of the clubs," he said and I frowned darkly clenching my fists feeling furious.

"Okay let's go," I said calmly. We got inside the car and drove away.
