Today's evening held a distinct air, setting it apart from others. After Aishah finished her refreshing shower, she entered the dimly lit room to find Qadrul sprawled across the bed, sound asleep. A small chuckle escaped her lips as she remembered today's memories. She had grown fond of this man.

A sigh escape her mouth. This is what she's afraid the most, falling in love with someone. She just hopes that, Qadrul will not break her heart.

Aishah then switch off the light.

As Aishah nestled into bed, ready to drift off to sleep herself, an unexpected sensation startled her. A pair of arms suddenly wrapped around her from behind, prompting an involuntary scream to escape her lips. In her panic, she flailed her arms, accidentally hitting something solid.

Bukk!

Auch!

The sound of a soft thud followed by a groan of pain snapped Aishah out of her initial shock. Swiftly, she switched on the bedside light, revealing Qadrul on the floor, nursing his face. Overcoming her fear, she rushed to his side, her voice filled with concern, "Astagfirullah, Qadrul, are you okay? I'm so sorry."

Qadrul managed a reassuring smile, his voice calm despite the discomfort. "It's okay, Aishah."

As he removed his hands from his face, Aishah's gasp was audible. A large bruise was already forming, a grim preview of what it would look like by morning. Aishah's worry was evident as she spoke, "Qadrul, that's... that's a pretty bad bruise. It's only been a moment, and it's already looking like this. Tomorrow morning, it's going to be worse."

Seeing the fear in her eyes, Qadrul tried to alleviate her distress. "Aishah, truly, it's alright. I've had worse experiences before."

But her anguish persisted, and she responded with a hint of frustration, "That doesn't make it any better. I hurt you, Qadrul."

Gently, Qadrul took Aishah's hands and guided her to sit on the bed while he knelt before her. "Aishah, mi angel. Look at me. It was an accident. Besides, I would willingly endure a thousand blows for my beautiful wife here."

"Auch," Qadrul groaned as Aishah pinched his hand.

"Never ending with his sweet words." Aishah retorted. She quickly rose to her feet and began to walk away, "I'll get some ice for you."

Qadrul chuckled softly at his wife's reaction, watching her retreat with a fond smile.

Next morning, during breakfast, their conversation flowed easily as they had starts to enjoy each other's company. However, the tranquility was interrupted by the sound of Qadrul's phone ringing. He glanced at Aishah with an apologetic smile.

"It's okay," Aishah reassured him. "Go ahead and answer it. It might be something important."

Qadrul excused himself and stepped outside to take the call. When he returned and sat back in front of Aishah, he wore a concerned expression.

"Aishah," he began, "I'm really sorry. Our plans for this morning might need to be canceled. I have to join a video conference with my team."

"Don't worry about it. We still have the afternoon to spend together. In fact, I've been wanting to try the spa here at the hotel. I haven't had the chance yet."

Qadrul looked at Aishah with affection in his eyes. "Thank you, mi angel."

Aishah shook her head. "You're such a sap."

Qadrul chuckled softly. "But I'm your sap, Aishah."

Their eyes met, and in that moment, Aishah's feels something warm in her hearts.

Back in the comfort of their hotel room, Qadrul found himself engrossed in a lengthy video conference. His commander, the Bravo team, and various officers were all present. After an intense hour, the meeting concluded, leaving Qadrul yearning for a moment of relaxation.

However, as he was about to unwind, a new video call notification popped up on his screen. Sighing, he reluctantly tapped to answer. The familiar faces of his team members appeared, and a mischievous smile spread across Daniel's face.

"Assalamualaikum, our beloved captain. We've been missing you terribly," Daniel announced dramatically.

Unfazed by their antics, Qadrul deadpanned, "Alright, what's the catch this time? I know you guys only shower me with compliments when you need something."

Ridhwan chimed in, "No, Captain. We genuinely miss you."

Amid their conversation, Iman couldn't contain his laughter and burst out. Qadrul chuckled, "Iman, I assigned you to keep them in check. What kind of trouble have these dumb and dumbasser caused this time?"

From the background, protests erupted from Daniel and Ridhwan about being labeled as "dumb and dumbasser," but Iman seized the phone to reassure Qadrul. "Don't worry, Qadrul. They're just tired from facing the commander and assisting with the special forces selection. They're desperate for a break. Please come back soon; I can't handle your 'ducklings' for much longer.I also need time to spend with Lily."

Both Qadrul and Iman shared a laugh. Just as the conversation was gaining momentum, the phone was wrested away by Daniel and Ridhwan, restoring their usual antics.

Qadrul chuckled as he watched Daniel's smirking face. "Captain, rough night, huh?"

Iman chimed in, "What's up with your face, Qadrul? You didn't get into trouble there, did you?Just so you know, I will not help you with the paperwork again, I'm still traumatized over the tremendous paper cut I got before."

Qadrul's chuckle continued. "No, I'm not in trouble. This bruise is a token of my love for my angel."

Daniel pulled a face, feigning disgust. "Eww, Captain. When did you become so sappy? You're worse than Iman and Lily."

Iman joined in the teasing, "I have to agree, Qadrul. You're definitely in the lead now, utterly whipped for your wife."
