Chapter 2
Re-edit

When I headed back to my place, my homeboys were with me. Of course, they crashed with me and they were enjoying themselves.
Omari was meditating outside by the pool, while Chris was relaxing in the pool on top of a float while sipping a beverage.
I admire them enjoying themselves, it made me smile.
I went into the kitchen to see a familiar figure standing over the stove fixing what smelled like fresh cookies and homemade sandwiches.

Marco- "Wow, it smells good in here."

I said as the figure turned around. Revealing being my mom, I was happy to see her.
My mom was the second most stunning woman in the world.
She had gorgeous dark brown skin, and she wore her hair in an Afro most of the time.
But today she had it braided in a crown style and she looked magnificent.

Marco- "Hey Mom, how's everyone doing?"

Mom- "They are doing good honey, your father is out of town for a few days, so I thought I'd come visit you while you are in the city."

Marco- "Well Mom you are welcome to stay as long as you like. How are Dwight and Franklin doing?"

Mom- "Dwight is doing well, he's taking the team to the playoffs this season. He's booked up and busy. Franklin has been moving around a lot more, making a lot of tricky business deals."

Marco- "How are they Tricky ?"

Mom- "He's getting offered a lot of money to play a role, but the catch is, he doesn't know what the job is until he's onset, and I'm just worried he might have to play something that's not right."

Marco- "Something that's not all right?
Mom, I know Franklin and he will not play anything that he can't do. You have to depend on the teachings you and Dad both instilled in us and hope we live by them daily."

My mom smiles at me before kissing my cheek and pinching it before picking up the tray of food she prepared.

Mom- "You are right, I'm blessed to have children like you all, now go get your friends and tell them it's time for lunch.

Marco- "Yes ma'am"

I went outside to where my boys were.
I holler their names, making them jump a little before looking towards my way.

Chris- "Man come on, don't be doing that, what's up?"

Marco- "My mom is here, and she made sandwiches and cookies for us. Let's go eat and don't worry Omari, it's Turkey."

They both gathered around me while greeting me with a handshake.

Omari- "Yo, are we still attending the club tonight?"

Marco- "For practice, right?"

Omari- "Yes, and they are also having a meet and greet in front of the club with some other people visiting."

Marco- "Doesn't sound bad, let me check with Omar first and when he gives us the word, I'll let you all know."

Chris- that's fine with us, now let's go eat".

In case you all are wondering, Omar is married to my friend Jaya, and they have two beautiful boys together, he's our agent. He makes sure our funds and things are together while keeping up with our endorsement deals.
Now Chris, Omari, and I have our secretary.
My secretary is Aniyah, our producer is named Aaliyah, and she's responsible for our music and even Choreography.
She makes sure our melody and materials are all set, she doesn't play when it comes to music.
You have to be serious with her. London and Ciara are responsible for our fashion style.
London is Aaliyah's daughter, and they act just alike, London doesn't play about wardrobe either.
They are all about the business and make up a great team, they are loyal and very trustworthy.
While the boys and I ate our lunch at the table, I noticed my mom was checking her phone and seemed a little disturbed by something.
When we were done eating and I helped her with the dishes, I confronted her about it.

Marco-"Hey Mom, is everything alright?
I saw you looking at your phone, and you didn't look too happy, what's going on?"

Mom- "I don't need you to worry baby, it's nothing, trust me "

Marco- "No Mom, I don't need you to worry, just let me know and if I can help, I'm down."

Mom- "It's just that your father is getting older, and I know he's used to being on the road a lot, it's time he retired from the streets and focus on spending time with the family more.
I'd love to go travel the world with him, That's something we spoke about when he retires."

My old man is a hustler and I can't lie. He is a mean and bad man, he's so bad that the streets respect him a lot when I was younger, I would hear people say.
"There goes Big E from Lincoln Street"
Wherever my papa went he got respect, and he made sure we didn't want for anything, and my mom was straight, we always stayed in a pleasant house with clothes we couldn't complain.
Life was awesome living with my father growing up, and I knew it was time my brothers and I came together to give him something in return.
So, he could leave that life in the past and be the old grandfather to our future children.
