Chapter 13

It had been a total of six months since the Woodbury people came to the prison

Miya woke up to Daryl shaking her awake
"Get up Cmon" he said
Miya sat and and rubbed her eyes
"I know it's early but TJs leaving and he wants you to come say goodbye" daryl said
"Where's he going?" Miya asked putting her shoes on, she was wearing a black shirt and some pajama pants
"On a run with Glenn, Julia and Maggie's" Daryl said Miya walked with Daryl out onto the basket ball courts, they looked different down, it had a kitchen with water jugs and the bleachers where gone and it was full of plants

Miya walked over to the car and hugged TJ
"I'll be back in a couple hours, want anything specific?" TJ asked Miya, hugging her back "colored pencils" Miya said as she moved to hug Glenn, then Maggie and Julia
"We'll keep an eye out darling" Maggie said kissing her head

Most watched them leave before heading back to her cell
"Get dressed, don't go back to bed Amiya jade" daryl said

Miya went up to her cell and put blue jeans on and a gray t shirt

Miya walked down the steep mettle steps and peeked into Beth's cell
"Beth, can you braid my hair?" Miya asked
"Of course" she said

Miya sat in Beth's bed, holding Judith as Beth put to French braids in her hair
"Have you been hanging out with your brothers" Beth asked
Beth was Miyas best friend besides Mika, Miya told Beth everything, the other day she was telling her about how her brother where ignoring her and hanging out with Carl and Patrick
"No, Marko is friends with this kid, I don't know his name and Toby only hangs out with Carl and Patrick and Jadens a baby and hangs out with Mister Daryl and sometimes Miss Carol or Miss Julia" Miya said, Beth sighed
"It'll be okay Miya" Beth said hugging her from behind, wrapping her arms around her shoulders

Beth always knew how to make Miya feel better
"You say bye to TJ this morning?" Miya asked Beth
"Yeah" Beth said
Beth and TJ started dating a few months ago and TJs been really happy and so has Beth
"I'm gonna go play with Mika" Miya said handing Judith back to Beth
"Have fun Miya" Beth said

Miya walked outside and saw Lizzie and Mika eating breakfast with there dad

Miya walked over to Carol who was serving food
"Good morning Miss Carol" Miya said
Carol gave her a stern look
"I don't like being called Miss, Miya" Carol said "makes me feel old" she added
Miya was about to apologize when Daryl walked up behind her and spoke
"It's cause ya is old" Daryl said jokingly
"She calls you mister so your old to then" Carol said
Daryl rolled his eyes

Miya sat at the table and ate her food silently then Mika walked over

They went down to the gates and Lizzie and a couple other kids where yelling at the walkers
"What are you doing?" Miya asked
"Where talking to nick" Lizzie said, pointing at a walker, Miya looked a bit closer and saw it had a name tag, nick
"He's dead" Miya said "why you trying to talk to him"
"He's not dead, just different" Lizzie said
Miya was about to say some thing when Toby, Patrick and Carl walked over
"What are you doing?" Carl asked
"Where talking to nick" Lizzie said
"Your banding the walkers?" Toby asked and looked at Miya
"Stop calling them that, there not dead there just different" Lizzie said before walking off, everyone following after her
"You coming to story time?" Mika asked Patrick, daryl tried to get her to go, she went for five minutes and then left after she knew he was far away enough for her to leave
"Why do you hangout with these kids?" Carl asked Miya
"Cause their my friends" Miya said
"Their fucking weird Miya, especially Lizzie" Toby said, Miya rolled her eyes
"Lizzie just doesn't get it" Miya said "and I'm not friends with her I'm friends with Mika"
"Whatever" Toby said before walking away, Carl and Patrick following him

Miya was gonna go up the hill when she heard a whistle, it was Michonne coming back

Miya ran to the gate, she was met there by Rick

Michonne came through the gates and got off her horse
"Hi Miss Michonne" Miya said
"Hi Miya" Michonne said smiling "I've got something for you" she sod pulling a sketch book out her bag
"Thank you" she said as they walked up the hill

A couple hours later Maggie, Glenn, TJ and Julia where back
"Miya?" Julia said pushing the curtain to Miyas cell a aside "I've got your color pencils" she said
"Thank you" Miya said with a smile
"Dinners done" Julia said and Miya followed her outside

Miya sat with TJ and Beth and of course Jaden
After dinner Miya went up to her cell and shut the door behind her and the curtain, she changed into her pajamas and sat on her bottom bunk, reading a book Maggie gave her, daryl walked into her cell and sat on her desk
"Tomorrow where going in another run, you wanna come with?" Daryl asked
"The big spot you guys where talking about?" Miya asked and Daryl nodded
"Yeah I'll go" she said

The next morning Miya got up early, got dressed and was now standing outside, leaning against the car next to Sasha

Miya rode in the car with Sasha, Glenn, Bob,Michonne, this guy named Zach and TJ, while Daryl rode his bike

They got to the spot and Miya sat on the ground by the window while Daryl banged on it
"Okay I've got it" Zack said "homicide cop" 
Michonne started laughing and so did Miya
"What's so funny?" Daryl asked
"Nothing, makes perfect sense" Michonne said as walkers started hitting the window

Miya was walking behind Daryl with a shopping cart, running it into him on purpose every couple of minutes, Michonne was behind them laughing every time she did so
"Keep doing that and I'm tossing you over the fence when we get back to the prison" daryl said
"You can't toss me that high" Miya said and Daryl rolled his eyes
"Go bother Glenn" daryl said, Miya walked with Glenn around the store

"You'd be father of the year" Michonne said
Daryl rolled his eyes "right" he scoffed
"You would, I've seen you with those kids, all five of them" Michonne said "they may seem independent but you definitely help them a lot" Michonne said
Daryl rolls this eyes again, he knew she was right, he would deny it if anyone asked about it

Miya jumped in surprise when the shelf fell on Bob, even more shocked when walkers where falling through the ceiling
"You fucking joking" Miya said to herself when three walked toward her
Miya kicked the closet one in the knee then stabbed it in the head, more where just coming closer, she took off down a isle and was surrounded, it wasn't that many but it was still hard for her, kicked another int he knee then stabbed it, then she made the decision, there was about eight in one side of her and one on the other so, she racked the one to the ground, quickly standing up and running away from it

Miya screamed when someone picked her up, because she didn't expect it, but it was just Sasha

Whatever they had but in backpacks was what they got because Daryl and Sasha shut the doors

When they got back to the prison it was a bit darker out and Miya was tired

Miya went right to her cell, her throat was hurting a bit so she changed and went to bed
