"If I attend the ball, will you please stop your nagging?!" Naomi stopped complaining about you not wanting to attend the ball and a smile filled her face.
"I knew you would give in eventually!" Your friend hugged you and jumped up and down."It's a good thing I already made our dresses!"
"You what?! Even after I told you I didn't want to go you still went through the trouble of making me a dress?" Naomi shrugged and continued to wash the dishes in the sink. You sighed and slumped in your chair setting your book down."I was hopeful you would attend with me. It would be a shame to experience a royal ball without my best friend to share the experience with me." You sighed and groaned at her smirk.
"Do you think every girl in the village will go? This ball is for Prince Yoongi. The one prince out of the seven that everyone speaks ill of. Everyone says he's heartless, ruthless and just plain terrifying."Naomi dried her hands on her apron before taking a seat across from you.
"Since when are rumors and hearsay ever accurate?" She smiled.
"That's fair but one thing is true about him, the large scar down his face is scary."
"I for one like the rugged rebel type." Naomi stuck her nose up in the air crossing her arms earning a smile from you."And that my dear friend is exactly why you can never keep a relationship. Every man you pursue is trouble." She pouted and pretended to throw an apple at you causing you to laugh.
"Prince Yoongi may be scary but there are his brothers who could also be hoping to find a woman. Just because the ball is for the future king does not mean the rest will not be in attendance.""Once again, why would a prince pursue a simple village girl. There will be plenty of rich and powerful princesses at the ball. The odds of any maiden from the village being chosen is none." Naomi sighed at your matter-of-fact attitude before nodding her head.
"But we can at least play princess for one night. We may not be wealthy or have large ball gowns, but we can still enjoy the music and food and maybe even drink a little and be able to tell our future grandchildren that we attended a royal ball." You both laughed as you finished tidying up the kitchen and left for your respective rooms for the night.
