(y/n) pov:
Rotty and I walked through the door and kicked off our shoes. I then said, "Lights on." The whole house lit up revealing my chaotic workbench, my giant computer screen and of course, all the futuristic-looking LED lights scattered around the house.
Rotty looked around with her eyes widened slightly. "Wow. This is the place?" Rotty said with a slight bit of awe.
"Sure is. That's what treasure hunting will get ya. Or doing dirty jobs for the Mayor for a quick buck." I responded.
Rotty just chuckled. "Dirty jobs," as in getting him chocolate, right?" Rotty asked playfully with a brow raised.
"Yeah. Like getting him chocolate." I responded sarcastically.
My little helper then bumped into Rotty's leg. The robot looked up at Rotty and Rotty looked down at it. "What? A robot?" She said.
"Ah, you haven't met my little helper yet? I guess this is the time to introduce you to him." I then crouched down to my robot. "Rotty, this is Oni. Oni, this is Rotty. She's a close friend of mine and she'll be spending a bit of time here. Would you mind putting these into the expresso machine, my good friend?" I asked him, giving him the coffee beans we bought at the convention.
"-Not a problem, boss. This will take a couple minutes.-" Oni responded.
"Good man." I replied.
Oni strolled away with the coffee beans. Rotty just looked at me with a smile. "What kinda name is that? "Oni?" She teased.
"What was I supposed to call him. "Wall-E?" I responded sarcastically.
Rotty just giggled. "I ain't judging you, of course." Rotty replied.
"I'm sure you weren't." I teased back. We then walked towards my room. The soft lights in there were bright enough to where we could see the room well enough. I was always a hermit and really didn't really like any sort of light. So I just put soft LED lights everywhere around my room.
We sat down on my bed and Oni came in with our coffee. We took it and Oni strolled out of the room. I then sighed and looked down. Rotty started to drink her coffee while I just looked at it. I was thinking about that adventure me and Rotty had. The feelings I had for her were starting to ache in my chest intensely.
Is this what falling in love feels like...?
I mean, she was the only one I felt I had a genuine connection with. Nobody's really made me feel this way before. Maybe I was going crazy. But whatever it was, I had to get it off my chest. I sighed and turned my eyes to Rotty without turning my head.
"Rotty...? There's something I need to say to you..." I said with hesitation.
Rotty just looked at me with a brow raised. "What is it, handsome? Something wrong?" She asked.
I just looked to the side and curled my lip. "No, nothing's wrong. I just... I have to get this off my chest." That warm feeling in my chest started to ache more and more. It felt like my heart was melting. "I've been thinking about you ever since we went on that adventure together. Actually... I've been thinking about you ever since the first day we met. Ever since that kiss... I don't know how to say this... but... I like you... Actually, more than like you. I... I think I'm in love..." I finished. That feeling was starting to ache more intensely.
Rotty looked a bit flattered. She took a moment to process that information. "Gee... I didn't think you were that into me. I actually thought for a second you found me crazy or something." Rotty teased.
My eyes widened. "W-What!? I would never find you crazy! I think you're such an amazing woman, and-" Rotty then cut me off by kissing me again. But this time, the kiss was way longer and much more passionate than before. Her touch gave me chills. That warm feeling started to melt my heart, causing me to blush madly. My eyes widened for a second before I closed them and kissed her back.
