(y/n) pov:

A couple weeks have passed and things couldn't have gotten any better than this. I was one of the most popular people in Scuttle Town, the Mayor finally gave me a monument, and I had the best damn girlfriend I could ask for.

Maybe moving to Sequin Land was not a bad idea after all...

I've learned so many new things, and gained many new skills. And I met some... interesting new friends along the way. I have to say, this adventure has been a helluva ride for sure. I just wonder what Rotty's doing right now.

We were supposed to go on a date today, but she always showed up late as usual. I had something extra romantic for her planned. It wasn't really much but I'm sure she'd like it.

Rotty showed up a couple minutes later. I was in the woods, where I was waiting usually. It was in between Scuttle Town and her Mansion her and her brothers were staying at. I've never met her brothers yet. But they sound like pretty interesting guys.

Rotty approached me and smiled. "Hey, Snack Cakes! Sorry for the wait! I got lost in the graveyards for a sec." Rotty said.

"Yeah, I'm sure you did." I responded, sarcastically.

"Hey! I'm being dead-serious here! Those wild zombies were a pain in the butt to get past!" Rotty replied a bit annoyed.

I just chuckled slightly. "Just kidding. I believe ya." I said, getting up from leaning on a tree. We then started walking to our date ground while conversating the whole way. As we were walking, we ran into these two green guys. They were zombies like Rotty but a tad bit more well-dressed.

The tall one looked at me. "Ah, sis! There you are! And who's the skinny guy?" He said with a raspy, old western voice. He also had his arms crossed with a suspicious look on his face.

Rotty just looked at them with delight. "Ah, right! (y/n), these are my brothers, Abner and Poe. And this is (y/n). And he's my boyfriend!" Rotty said with a sanguine look on her face.

"Boy-*Hick*-friend?" The guy with goofy-looking goggles said.

I just rubbed my head blushing a bit. I really didn't know what to say at this point. I looked up to see Abner eyeing me closely. I was kinda intimidated, but not that much. "H-Hey... Nice to meet you, Abner." I said, offering a hand to shake.

He just kept looking at me with a brow raised for a sec. But then he snapped out of it and smiled. He shook my hand, his slender, cold fingers wrapped around mine. "Nice to meet ya, (y/n)! It ain't common for me to meet a man of the livin'" He replied playfully.

I just chuckled in return. "It ain't common for me to meet a civilized zombie." I teased back.

"Civilized?" He asked, leaning in, with a stern look on his face.

I put my hands up in hesitation. "Woah... I didn't mean it that way, bud." I replied.

"I know, I was just messing with ya." He said with a smile, with his arms crossed.

I just chucked lightly in return. "Yeah, good one..." I replied with sarcasm.

The goofy-looking guy then came up to me. "He-*Hick*-llo, (y/n)! T-The Name's Poe!" He said following another hick. He than offered me a hand to shake.

I smiled at him. "Nice to meet ya, Poe. Nice glasses." I complimented him, with a smile.

"Aw... Th-*Hick*-ank you..." He responded.

"Alright. If you two will move outta the way, we got a date here!" Rotty said with annoyance.

Abner just nodded. "Fine. We'll leave you to it." He replied. He then looked at me with suspicion. "I'll be watching you, (y/n)..." He said, sceptically, walking off.

As Poe and Abner went away, Rotty and I continued to my planned location. As we were walking, Rotty looked at me. "So, what did you wanna show me?" Rotty asked.

I just smiled knowingly. "It's a surprise..." I replied quietly.

"Ooh... I love surprises..." Rotty responded.

We got to the place and I just set up a nice, romantic picnic with two wine cups and got a remote control button. Rotty raised a brow. "What's that for?" She asked.

"You'll see." I said, pouring us two cups of wine. I then threw the wine bottle over the cliff and sat down with Rotty. The stars were in the sky, the moon was in position, and there was no breeze but it was cool.

The perfect night to be having this date.

"So, about that surprise you were going to show me?" Rotty asked me.

I then snapped out of it and shook my head. "Ah, right!" I then got out the remote control. "Feast your eyes on this!" I said pushing the button.

A couple of seconds later, fireworks then shot up in the sky, blowing up in the air in the shape of hearts, in various colours.

Rotty's eyes lightened up at the fireworks. I just chuckled in pride. She then looked at me. "You made all this... for me...?" She said, looking at me with a bit of awe.

I smiled. "Yes I did, Rotty..." I responded quietly.

Rotty then smiled happily at me before we embraced each other for a kiss. We then rested our foreheads together.

"I love you, (y/n)..." Rotty cooed.

I smiled and blushed. "I love you more." I cooed back.

We then both smiled and snuggled together as we watched the fireworks from the best angle ever. You know, I've never imagined finding that 'special someone,' in my life ever. That was until I met Rotty, though. She gave me a sense of light to my life. She was almost like the light to my darkness. I guess I was the light to hers.

I suppose that was the case, but I'm never wrong...

Hardly...
