"Camp shallow lake. y'all. my second home." EJ says as they walk through the sign.
"don't you have a second home." gina laughs at her boyfriend. "my second second home." "so your third home?" Parker raises an eyebrow.
EJ rolls his eyes at the girl before continuing "seriously I came to this camp an athlete and became an athlete-actor. you come to shadow lake one way and you just become something else. it happens to everyone though."
"wow and I thought this was a vacation." ashlyn says to gina.
"Are those wildcats i see?" a girl walked up to the friend group. "What's up Rocket man?" "How you doing gadget?" EJ hugs the random girl.
"What language are they using?" Gina whispers to Ashlyn and Parker. "I don't know." Ash replies.
"Ready for a good summer?" "Yeah dude."
"all right it's five minutes in and I already miss seb." Carlos says, cutting off "gadget" and EJ's reunion.
"oh and I miss biggie. But remember how we said we weren't gonna do that? This is our wildcat summer adventure and we're going angst-less." Ash reminds Carlos. "I just feel naked without my angst."
"all right I'm just gonna need to collect your phones, snacks, and all electronic devices basically anything that brings you joy i'm only half kidding." The girl gadget says, holding out a bucket to the wildcats.
Parker shares a look with Gina before the both of them drop their phones into the bucket.
Kourtney being Kourtney made a whole scene about how she had just got her phone "Sasha" and how she wasn't ready to let her go before Carlos made her put her phone in the bucket.
EJ had shown them around before the group went their separate ways, the girls heading to the girls, cabin and the boys heading to the boys cabin.
"Oh! This is deeply round." Kourtney spoke as the four girls walked into the honeycomb cabin. "six sides is some next level feng shui." Ashlyn looked around.
"It looks like my brother and cousin had a party." Parker spoke up.
"And some zero level privacy." Kourtney added. "Wait. Okay." Gina got the girls attention. "should we spread out our bed assignments or do the new girl cluster?" She asked. "I kind of want the top bunk." Kourtney answered her. "i want the top bunk." Ashlyn said
"i want that one." Gina said pointing to a bunk behind them before she ran to it throwing her bags on the bed. Parker right behind her placed her bags on the bottom bunk.
"guys I can't believe so many of us showed up for this." Gina emitted. "yeah, I mean your boy EJ talked a pretty big game. I was expecting you know more a four season-y vibe." Kourtney told her.
"he gets so excited when he describes camp. and the only reason I never joined him is because I spent the last six summers Larping in Minnesota." Ashlyn confessed. The three girls looked at her and confusion on what Larping was.
"live action, role-play anyone?" Ash looked at them as they gave her blank looks. "we're gonna learn a lot about each other this summer aren't we?" Parker asked. "my best character is a sewing wench from Gondor."
"ok i'm going to check out the restroom. oh, and now I've done that." Kourtney walks to the bathroom but before she can step inside, she walks away already having a peek.
"come on kourt. this is going to be a great summer. this guy I know promised." Parker and Ashlyn laughs at Gina as she makes this weird gesture with her hands referring to EJ.
"i'm glad you've got someone here, but Howie's off to college nini's on the road my mom is a little too old for camp."
"and we'll be right beside you every day." Parker a shores Kourtney, the four girls sharing a hug. the door opens and in walks gadget with two more girls behind her
"yes, my ladies in the honeycomb, once again, I am Maddox." "I thought your name was gadget." Parker spoke confused. "oh yes, it is also gadget it's my camp name. everyone gets one." Maddox told the confused girl before she looked at Kourtney. "oh, that is actually my bed. Yeah I made some deep memories in that one over the years I actually knocked out my two front teeth on that bulletin board during a massive pillow fight."
Kourtney officially disgusted moved to the bed over telling Maddox she could have it. "so a lot of new faces couple of non-wild cats in the corner. Who got secrets?"
The four wildcat girls all share a scared glance before looking back at Maddox. (----------)
