This is not what I expected when the game said "enter a new world."

Looking around the cluttered garage I couldn't help but think of where to start. I could start with the play records in the corner. Or the books all the way in the back. Or even dad's little collection of mini baseball player figurines.

As I walked further into the garage something caught my eye. A box with the words "LILLIE'S DO NOT TOUCH". Well how could I resist such a nice invitation? A smirk played across my face as I walked towards the box. As I took off the top I wondered how lillie would react knowing I was going through her childhood things. I was never here for her childhood.. I'm adopted.

This family adopted me when I was 10. Lillie was already 15. She couldn't stand me at first. This family always wanted a boy, but even knowing they wanted me I could never really feel like I belonged. I always felt different. And I definitely looked different. Everyone in this family has bright blonde hair, almost pure white. And beautiful gray or blue eyes. I'm sometimes surprised I even made it here. Of course they loved me. But they couldn't love me like flesh and blood. But to make up for it I excelled in my studies, I made sure to be the perfect child, but that only made Lillie hate me more. She warmed up to me in her last year in high school. In the end it always ended up being me and Lillie. Both our parents were rarely home and when they were all they could do was sleep. Lillie had to man up and take care of me. I warmed up to her because of that, and she to me. But once she was off to college it was just me. Lillie taught me how to cook in order to take care of myself. And I must say I am an excellent chef.

Back to the box I slowly opened it. Inside was a CD of a game called "Heavens recovery", stupid ass name if you ask me. Just from the cover I could tell it was a cliche game. But hey, My curiosity won. I pulled the game out and began searching the dusty basement for dads old computer. Once locking my eyes on it I shuffled my way towards it through the crowds of boxes in this dusty basement. Once reaching it I had to do quite a lot of hitting and begging to get it to turn on. Surprisingly it worked quite well for an old computer. I put in the CD sitting down in a chair and waiting for the loading screen.

Once the loading screen opened up a warning showed. " BEWARE, ONCE HITTING PLAY YOUR LIFE WILL NEVER BE THE SAME AGAIN ". oh now I see why it's in the basement. On top of cliche it's cringy. Lillie probably never even started playing this stupid game. I skimmed the rest of the warning not even paying much attention to it. Once done I hit play. But while it was loading I heard shuffling above me. Looking up I notice a box full of tools falling on me. Then everything went black.
